I purchased an audioet max.

Super fast envelope, transparent sound and wide sound stage are excellent.

Rather than connecting directly to the outlet,
Using two 2.5k Isolation Transformers, each mono connection shows better sound quality.

The RCA input produces a better sound than the XLR input.
(The XLR input is equipped with a discrete OP-amplifier, which converts the balance signal into an unbalanced signal and amplifies it.)

My preamplifier is a balanced preamplifier and I think the sound of the XLR output is better than the RCA output.

So today, using the Rundahl LL1690 trans,
I changed the XLR balance output signal of my preamplifier to the RCA balance signal and connected it.

I'm satisfied with the sound of a little more juicy.

My preference is
(If it's out of 10)

Preamplifier XLR Output -> XLR Input - 7/10 Points
Preamplifier RCA Output -> RCA Input - 9/10 Points
Preamplifier XLR Output -> RCA Input - 10/10 points.

I think the Rundahll1690 has a little better performance than the signal change parts mounted inside the MAX.

All Audionet amplification is single ended high bandwidth designs, so it figures the RCA input would sound slightly better than XLR.

If you like the Audionet MAX amps so much perhaps the Audionet Pre G2 would be the perfect match for them? Its highly well reviewed.
