Interesting point, as I was hoping to read comparisons here. I know in my system my switch setup sounds amazing. But I have only compared it against three other audiophile switches all of which are cheaper, so I would hope the more expensive sound better. Although that is not always the case. Only one of the four switches I have tried is mentioned here, the Ethergen. I have the SOtM switch which sounded better in my system. Frankly a lot better, but then it is double the price.
I also tried the Electric 8 switch, sounds great, lacks bass and weight. The AQVOX SE switch. Found this a bit edgy and not as good as the Ethergen, although similar price.
Adding good external clocks lifted the performance massively.
Yes every system is different. I had the SOtm and several other switches and they all went back. The ER and Sonor OMD with Stack LAN Regen are the combination for me, down stream.

Well it was better than some, just not as impressive as my system with optical breaks. Hope on day to try Nigel’s kit @Rekki but that will have to wait as I am content. I am also waiting on the ER V2…

I run two SOtM connected by SPF’s which gives the optical break.
What is clear is that there are many ways to achieve an amazing sound by mixing network components. It wasn’t this easy when we only had cd players to tweak. Our options were limited.
Me too. And also after various tries with fiber and other switches I was very happy to find the Tempus which provided the natural, organic and live feeling which got me excited.
For people who find this thread and scroll through, I should add I run two SOtM switches connected via an SPF cable and both are clocked with the Mutec REF10 external clock and powered by Plixir Elite Balanced Power supplies.
As such a comparison to one SOtM switch does not reflect the effect I have achieved with the SOtM switches. If people want some more switch reading try this: https://www.whatsbestforum.com/thre...e-new-king-of-usb-network-gadget-setup.27758/ Which does actually go on to explore mixing multiple brands of switches, SOtM and Melco for example.

I could be wrong for your specific setup, but I would think that connecting two switches to a common external clock can reintroduce a path for electrical noise, especially ground-related noise, which the connection via an SPF cable would otherwise isolate. It seems you’ve experimented with several configurations though.
Out of curiosity—you DID power both switches separately, did you maybe try grounding them separately/run one w/o clock cable , and if so, did you notice any sonic differences?
Sure, achieving isolation by running two REF10s might be an expensive way to break a ground loop—but hey, if it lifts the veil, who’s counting?
So its been a week since I added the JundoSteam to my system and installed it between my Reiki Super Switch with power supply. I have made some comments earlier in this thread however I haven't listened for a few days. I was really busy yesterday and most of today and sat down about 90 minutes ago and wow . I had some caveats, albeit small , but no more. The system is absolutely killing it and I am thrilled with the result. I am not saying that the Jundo Stream is the silver bullet to kill all your digital issues, I have no idea , but what I am saying is this is a terrific product and in a really good digital system I think this will make someone happy, happy, happy. BTW I am not talking about flavor I am talking about purity and clarity without glare or harshness particularly after a week or so. Bravo Nigel.

Hey Eliot, I really appreciate your input in the thread. Just a quick check—since Reiki isn’t listed as a sponsor on WBF, and the thread is non-sponsored, I’m wondering if your enthusiastic post about the Reiki Ethernet cable and the Reiki Super Switch might unintentionally go beyond what's allowed for dealers under forum rules?

For the purposes of transparency, as mentioned in your later post: Elliot is not a Reiki Audio dealer. For him to transgress, there would need to be a forum rule stopping anyone and everyone from enthusing about any product they use... which would rule out most of the posts on the forum!
I can't see this but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Elliot is a dealer, yes, but he isn't a Reiki Audio dealer and he doesn't appear on my dealer map or Where To Buy list; he enjoys using my products, sure, and on that basis he might want to represent Reiki Audio in Florida. I'll drop him a message as he appears to be a fan... Maybe he jumped the gun!
There are plenty of strong advocates of other brands and other products on the forum in general and on this thread.
Can we get back to talking about how stuff sounds now?

I noticed that the reference to Reiki Audio has just been removed from Elliot G.’s signature. For context, the previous version—including the affiliation—is still visible in post #989.
If Elliot is no longer affiliated with Reiki Audio, then of course there wouldn’t be any issue. Just trying to ensure clarity, as transparency helps keep the discussion constructive and within forum guidelines.

I understand the intent isn’t to restrict members from sharing genuine experiences with gear they use and enjoy—of course, that’s a big part of what makes this forum great.
My only reason for raising the point was based on Rule #20 in the forum’s policy, which addresses posts from dealers or distributors who aren’t current advertisers, especially when products are described in detail.
When people visit WBF, I think it’s fair to assume they expect those kinds of guidelines to be respected. And just to be clear, I didn’t make that rule—WBF did.

Im going to say whatever I want, whenever I want and to whomever I want . I don’t know who you are or who you think you are but you are not the boss of me or anyone else.
Try taking rule 6 and finding a nice warm place for it !
