Black Friday is the biggest shopping day in the U.S. and people look forward to finding all kinds of deals on a variety of products. Were you one of those consumers who got up early (or stayed up late) and browsed online making purchases? Or did you prefer visiting your local B&M? Did you buy anything at all?

I don't participate in Black Friday madness so I didn't buy anything.

For the first time in my history, I bought something during black friday. I usually avoid it as no amount of savings is worth the aggravation at the mall.

This year I decided to go online at Amazon and it was fruitful. Got the CD soundtrack of Tron for $6.95. And the new Transformer Dark side of the moon (?) Blu-ray for just $9.95! I am feeling pretty good about myself. :D

I don't shop at Wal-Mart period let alone the craziest shopping day of the year. There is nothing that could happen at a Wal-Mart that would surprise me unless you told me the store was filled with people that look normal.

There are crazy people everywhere, and while it may appear that many of them frequent Wal-mart stores, the very vast majority are hard-working decent people who perhaps don't have enough disposable income to shop at a regular department store for the majority of their needs. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I shop there weekly, although I leave all of my "fresh" (meat, veg, etc) purchases for my local Loblaws.

Regarding Black Friday deals...they pretty much sucked this year. Surely our annual December 26 Boxing Day event will bring more choice and better pricing!

While I agree that crazy people are everywhere, they all tend to congregate at Wal-Mart like moths to a flame.

I guess you've never been to a Star Trek convention then! LOL!

You're right, I have never been to a Star Trek convention. The closest I've come to that would be the RMAF show this year.

:p:DLOL! It's my underdstanding most of them got together for a nice dinner one night!

Yep, I was there. A good time was had by all.

It seems so from the pics that were posted! Glad you had fun! I'm hoping to attend the next Salon Son & Image show in Montreal at the end of March, and meeting up with a few friends there. Been invited for a nice dinner, one that Microstrip could possibly identify with....Cod fish and Portugese Green Wine....sounds interesting!

What'd I get? A wife who went crazy shopping on line!

Oh!Oh!......
