Hi, in question is, will you use a regular interconnect between SUT and phonostage or will you use the same phono cable like the one meant for your tonearm?

I have always use tonearm with captive phono cable but had recently bought a tonearm that needs a phono cable. Hence, wonder if I plan to match my phono cable with the cable between SUT and phonostage, should I be buying an interconnect cable or a phono cable with RCA termination?

Best wishes

My experience is that a dedicated phono cable is much better here than a normal interconnect cable.

I went out and found some one foot long interconnects to go between SUT, phono stage and pre-amp, rather than 3ft/1m ones. It really does make a difference, of the order of changing from one cartridge to another.
