Yeah.... when the 35/43/45 came out.... folks were up in arms... don't even mention folks buying "AMG" nameplates and sticking them on the back... LOLto use a car analogy it’s like AMG stops hand building engines, and has them built in Some lower cost labour market with robots , but still puts the AMG badge with the engineers signature on the engine ( I am sure they would be good engines, just not the same thing)
some time later we find this out, and people say “ but the engines are good” Yes they are, but they are not “exclusive” and that’s what the AMG badge implied , as now they are mass produced, not hand built .
Well I feel scammed by Acoustic Sounds selling me SACD's that are not true DSD files....This is why I feel scammed by mobile Fidelity/Music Direct.
Nice strawman argument. I feel scammed when I fill my car with gas, that’s actually a liquid.Well I feel scammed by Acoustic Sounds selling me SACD's that are not true DSD files....
I’m not a lawyer but I wonder if the bait and switch aspect of MFSL offerings is problematic.
What is wrong with these guys? Its all about money. All analog is more expensive. It certainly is not better to add a digital step. Cmon man. I have never liked their reissues. I have a few but my fascination with MoFi ended when I purchased Linda Rohnstadts Prisoner in Disguise MOFI and compared it to a 3 dollar original. I was not even close and I do believe that particular MOFI is all analog. I just did not like the way they remastered it. All this does not surprise me. They were not exactly honest when they put on almost every record "Original Master Recording" is not exactly being totally upfront. Our davidavdavid informed me that Mobile Fidelity has, once again, changed the visual workflow description of its Ultra Disc One Step Process:

Note that the representation of a reel-to-reel tape as the first step has been removed completely.
Note, more importantly, that any reference to the DSD conversion step also has been eliminated! How does hiding — once again — the digital conversion step fulfill Jim Davis’ promise of transparency going forward?
The first case Tuttle et al is beginning settlement. First retail purchasers can get return an album for a full refund or keep it and get a 5% refund or a 10% off this is fraud.
This would save people a lot of time versus selling the albums on eBay
Thanks for the update. Movement, finally. Any timeline for this being court approved and communicated via legal documents? The first case Tuttle et al is beginning settlement. First retail purchasers can get return an album for a full refund or keep it and get a 5% refund or a 10% off this is fraud.
Does that mean MoFi accept the claim against them? The first case Tuttle et al is beginning settlement.

Why return any album selling for more than the retail price on the secondary market?
Asking prices on the secondary market are not the same as selling prices on the secondary market. I would welcome the opportunity to sell my stack of UD1Ss at the purchase prices + shipping.
