Methodology:
1. Use PingPlotter Pro to monitor network latency between stock router and AirStream2
2. Both wireless router units have the same model with same firmware and configuration
3. Play music from Tidal application then trace local main router (testing unit works as AP)
4. Record tracing results from first 10 minutes
Test results
Average latency decreased (3.8 -> 2.3)
Maximum latency decreased (84.2 -> 43.5)
Minimum latency decreased (1.8 -> 1.1)
Jitter decreased (2.6 -> 1.6)
Conclusion
Upgrading clock with better frequency stability and reduce noise in network can reduce latency and jitter.
