By the way this is the original photo I saw from Analogue Fellowship FB . Somebody must have inserted the word Telos in the above photo. Funny it's only on that photo but not others . Anyway I don't see why it's unethical for a competitor to open up another competitor product & share what they learned with their clients or distributors . After all Telos didn't post it .
Guys,
anyone familiar with the photo/design please can they comment on the back photos and whether in those photos they also removed a backplate?
If the back has not been touched in those photos then I am curious how it matches the ones you own because the other photos I have seen does not show that dove joint (but maybe this is only for the speaker related model).
Just seems the etching on the wood not up to usual standard but could be the lighting for the photos.
Sorry if the photos are legit in terms of the guy actually getting hold of the products from an authorised dealer, just from my experience that when products are taken apart the person usually buys it as cheap as possible and this when looking very close is either the early prototypes-much older models or a fake (which they did not realise).
And yeah seen quite a few times myself where they use either a prototype/very early models or without knowing a fake for cables/power conditioners/etc.
So just wary when I see this, although I am not expecting much internally for what it is meant to do.
Cheers

I think that it is proper for manufacturers to have proprietary information on their designs, but there really is no costs in owners finding out what is in their component. But there is no reason for manufacturers to make it difficult to get into the box. In the case of Entreq, I see no reason why they didn't just superglue it together. Certainly Tripoint has made it impossible to get inside, which is certainly their right.
I had heard that the Entreq had sand and metal particles inside. What is the black particles? Coal? Carbon?
I have never seen the inside of the Tripoint but I know it has components inside as well as wiring.
I have heard several instances where do it yourself versions were made, such as the Shakti Hallographs. None ever equaled the original. I have heard the Entreqs several times, but never in my system. At the last RMAF I heard the top model in the Stillpoints and Exemplar suite. I heard it with and without the Entreq and there was a significant benefit with it.
I sincerely hope that EMI and RFI is not bad for our bodies, as there must be an enormous amount around us.

Orb, I am not aware of any backplate in the Tellus which was what I started with before quickly moving to the Silver Tellus which was much more effective and even more so with the addition of an Atlantis box.
In my experience there is usually a lot of devil in the detail with successful products like the Entreq (and Miguel's boxes) ground boxes which I doubt is replicated in the rival product referred to.
It's useful to see the photos but more so as an example of the dubious sort of commercial rivalry you refer to.
Telos also have been distributing pictures of an opened Tripoint . Maybe Audioblazer , can post those as well .
Does a particular Malay have a stake in Telos or just a fan boy ???

Agreed . Heard that in audioexotics HK . Just connected with a ground cable & crocodile clip on the tonearm base . Massive difference . My best ground box experience thus far . Just crazy price . At USD80k maybe we are better off putting the money elsewhere in the system unless u have max out your syst & have plenty of dough :b
