O'kay... I had an epiphany last night. Well it has been the past few times I've been to a Mariners game. The wife and I have seats in the club section and there are HD LCD monitors hanging from the ceiling that you can see replays and such. It has about a 3-5sec delay for broadcast.
Well I was looking down on the field at the players and then looking at the monitors. Then it hit me (not an errant foul ball), I'd much rather look at the monitors than look at the real thing! The colors are much more vivid and detailed. It was about 9pm at night and the monitor picture looked as though it was in bright sunlight. Then I though about the relationship to audio; can this same phenomenon be playing with us in our own audio systems?
