That Pioneer table in the video sounds horrible. The surface noise coming off that record was stunning. That type of analog sound is what drove people to digital.
The Feickert turntable reminds me of the desk I had in elementary school. I mean that in a nostalgic way, not a disparaging one. I must admit that I would be tempted to stick used up chewing gum underneath it, if I owned one, though.
Remember the movie "Goldfinger"? The villain loved gold. His character (played by the actor, Gert Frobe) was called 'Auric Goldfinger.' Remember the scene with the girl at the Miami hotel? The Rolls-Royce that was actually made of gold? Etc.?
This turntable fits the mold.
