I need a 80 inch screen to see it - picture too big :)

Johan, do you rate the AF1/TS2 combination superior to the all-Thales front end?

Maybe not suprising re the massive build quality of the AF1. The interesting comparison may be w/the AF2/3.
Never a better time for tt choice - AF1/2/3, Thales, Kronos, Wave Kinetics, AMG Viella etc to add to the usual suspects of SME 20/30, TW Akustic, Brinkmann, Simon Yorke.
And my Trans Fi Salvation/Terminator direct rim drive tt/air bearing linear tracking arm, a true high end bargain at $7-8k (I walked away from the SME20/V and TW AC3/Graham at 4x the price upon hearing it).

Thales is a very great tt at a great price. Once we receive AF3, we'll let you know the result soon. Happy spinning :)

Titanium version was announced last week, it may takes several weeks to be ready and heard. There is no certainty in choosing the AFO's platter in a system. Duralumin and Aluminum are always chosen for our stock AFO.

how did you decide which platter to use and now a titanium version

Steve, I recommend two platters upon the purchase of the AF1....Duralumin and Stainless. They each have their own distinct sound character. There is no one best platter. Its better to have a choice to change the sound up a bit from time to time. Titanium sound is unknown at this point.
