Goebel Divin Marquis

When i visited Gobel company last november,i listen alone in his room Aeon Reference with and without sub petite Baforce cut at 30 hz from 16 to 19.30,and after dinner from 22 to 1 i listen Noblesse.
And i listen with CH that i own so was simple understand for me.
I like a lot both and doesn't understand which of 2 i would like to buy because are different sound but fantastic both.

But i have a special feeling for this flat driver and idea that go from 170 to 31.000 hz with a homogenous sound i think i will prefer this
thats what it is all about getting what you enjoy and with Oliver there is only the right choice which ever one you prefer.

THe Bending Wave driver is unique. It is one of a kind and does things that no other driver can do. It is a single full range device from 160hz to over 30,000 hz. It has no phase issues so it is singular in its ability to be PURE. Having said that Oliver has used this device and the technology developed from it to make more traditional type of drivers behave like the bending wave driver which is what are used in the Divin series midrange and woofer. I do enjoy reading others thoughts about which of our products they enjoy more. I recently had a friend visit my showroom who is a speaker manufacturer and he gave me a wonderful compliment. He said if he did not own his own speakers he would own the Divin Marquis! He has heard all of my speakers over the last two years and this was his favorite. I think this is great since we all love music and have our listening preferences. There are no perfect speakers ( although Oliver would argue this with me LOL, just teasing him if he is reading this) so being able to choose between two different versions of the "truth" is something that we can all enjoy. Gian has his favorite, I mine and I am sure others theirs. Its all good and I think it depends on musical taste and room size and of course your wallet.
In the meantime we are grateful for the kind words from listeners and the two reviews that were recently published on the Marquis and the Aeon Fine.
Stay safe and enjoy. If you need some music to check out try my list and you will also get an idea of what I like to listen too. I don't like the same old Audiophile stuff and there are only a few of these on the list which I put there for the new comers.
Just for kicks since we were discussing it yesterday among friends try Fleetwood Mac- Rumors- and play it loud on your system and see what it does. IMHO it is one of a few PERFECT albums. All the songs are great and the recording and the talent of the band all match up
Enjoy. BTw you need to experience this on an Oliver designed speaker system with cables. :)

Here his room
I found fantastic subwoofer Petite Baforce, with 8 woofer and 8 class D amp os 300 watt each, one for driver

That‘s not what I call “petite”

Just contacted Gobel to audition their interconnects and speaker cables. Heard many good things about their cable program and am going to compare them with my current Kharma Enigma Reference‘s.

I really like their Devin Marquis, that is to say the looks of it. But probably already to big for my 13*23 feet room ....

they are not to big for the room :)

I agree. 13 x 23 is more than enough room for the Marquis.
My room is very close in size to that and they sound incredible in it.

I feel a next project is coming up :)

My room is a little wider but here is the shot :)
If you need help let me know :)

Howie, your pic shows the Arya Audio AirBlade add-on tweeter modules. I've been following the threads on Audio Exotics forum. They started w the AirBlades on Cessaro Wagners, now moved to these Divin Marquis's.

I thought you might notice. I didn’t get to compare them with and without but with they sounded wonderful. The Airblades look very neat. Wondering if they would enhance my Noblesse speakers. Right now they are connected to the speaker binding posts but I wondered if they would zound even better coming direct from the power amp posts.20201216_155908.jpg

There's a standing invite to hear the AirBlades on my Zus at my place once travel opens up in the UK again. I'm considering a move to outboard subs and these AirBlades to take my Zus to the next level.

That's a beautiful room, just stunning! AE has excellent taste IMO

@howiebrou If is not too much to ask...what do you think about the integration between the Airblade and the Divin Marquis? Looking at the principle and the construction, I have no reason to doubt that, in isolation, the Airblade is better than the Mundorf AMT that Göbel uses (after all, it's more or less, an AMT on steroids)...but did it integrate with the cone drivers as good as the stock tweeter, or did it "stand out"?
I don't know how low AE crosses it, but the Airblade is said to be able to operate down to 1khz. Very, very interesting driver.

My dealer will have this speaker for audition soon in May. I own Kondo Ongaku amp and have no intention to change amp. Just wondering if 27 watt SET from Ongaku will be enough to drive Divin Marquis in a 4.8 m wide X 8.5 m long x 3 m high room.

Thanks in advance for any information!

I found my Kondo Kaguras a little underpowered with the Divin Marquis' bigger brother, the Divin Noblesse which has a higher sensitivity so I am not sure if the Ongaku would be a good fit. I don't know the Marquis' impedance curve though so you never know. Write to Oliver Goebel and ask him. He is very quick to answer. Elliot might like to chime in as well.20200325_235209.jpg

The Divin Marquis are 92dB high sensitive speakers. It depends how much reserve the Ongaku has but is your listening room, it should be fine. But indeed, shoot Oliver an email.

I have not heard the marquis without the air blade so I cannot really compare them but I did not sense any lack of integration when listening..
