The room you have should work really well with the Marquis. I don't know what music you listen to or the levels at which you play it. That amp would not work for my listening however that doesn't mean it wont work for yours. Many people like the type of amplifier you are using and it seems very popular in Asia.
As far as the Airblade I have not tried them however as a stick on unit that was not incorporated in the design of the speaker ( Oliver is truly a brilliant designer) one must make their own choices. I don't personally feel that the speaker is lacking in any way in the high frequencies but that's me. I would certainly invite you to hear what I have set up but I think we aren't close. The Marquis are a truly GREAT speaker and I am sure no matter what you decide you will love them.

I have not heard the marquis without the air blade so I cannot really compare them but I did not sense any lack of integration when listening..

Roy Gregory has a pair of Noblesse and he mentions them in the new CH 10 series review. MTC

I will assume that you were directing your suggestions to both me to answer my question and @howiebrou regarding Airblade, sorry a bit confused here hahaha...

I listen to:
- Mandarin/Cantonese female/male vocal
- Western vocal mainly female
- Blues, Jazz, Bossas, acoustic
- a bit of symphony, opera and classical throw in but not much at all
- Absolutely zero Pop, Trance, Rock.

And no, I don’t listen loud, average 80-85 db max, I have severe tinnitus on me left ear so I only turn up the volume enough to mask my Tinnitus and that’s it, I find 90-95 db to be too loud for my taste. When I can ignore my tinnitus (usually after a hard workout) I listen to low level listening 60-65 db so much.

BTW: I take great regret to those who quit this hobby because of tinnitus. For me, I stay sane despite of my Tinnitus because of audio. Many dealers told me that I have a very critical ears/taste in sound and I think it’s attributed to my damaged left ear.

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated and please kindly advise me more. Divin Marquis looks super interesting indeed, especially as my favorite local dealer will have it soon. From the limited YouTube videos I can sample, it seems that Divin Marquis’ openness, jump factor and “live” sense is approaching dangerously close to many good horns but it comes with way superior vocal compared to all the horns I heard on YouTube except for Living Voice Vox Olympian. It seems that all the horns speakers including the one approaching 200K mark, although very very good but still have some “horn-y” attributes on the vocal, IMO they all managed to totally rid of the “horn-y” attributes on instruments but not on vocal, again except for LV Vox Olympian.

BTW: I don’t mind to include the future possibility of bi-amping the Divin Marquis with DSP/Xover only for the woofer if it’s possible, I don’t know how to do bi amp with old scholl RCA only no multiple output pre amp such as Kondo G70 but I guess that’s a topic for another day. Bottom line is I am firm on using my new Kondo Ongaku + G70 and will not change it but I am not averse to adding another pair of amp for Bi-amp.

You can order the Marquis in either single or bi wire. If you order them bi wire you can vertically bi amp the speakers using two identical amplifiers without anything extra other than a second set of speaker cables. I can't tell you that this amp will or won't drive the speakers to your liking . I do believe that if one can more power is always better if the quality is equal. You and I listen to different music and at different levels so you will need to make the final judgement yourself.
The Marquis are an INCREDIBLE speaker. I am blown away by how good they are and they consistently amaze both me and my clients that have heard them. I am very much looking forward to letting many more hear them this fall at the end of this Covid era which derailed all our plans here in the US for 2020.
