wow! it looks great, congrats

1 watt is scarcely low. 2a3 would be the most I would dare!

That is just a number, they are playing right now on 99dB speakers, albeit in a small room. Especially the bass is stunning. Low and authoritative. You wouldn't believe it is just 1W if you heard it

@VinylSavor I was curious about one thing, if you don't mind. In these low wattage, high sensitivity driver systems, how do you view residual mains hum both in your amps and maybe even more so in your D3a phono units? Specifically, do you aim to have zero hum with your ear up against the driver or merely zero hum at the listening position giving way to some audible of hum perhaps 60-70cm from the driver? We should not complain about inaudible hum at the listening position, so I wonder how you view the overall musical/sonic tradeoff one way vs the other?

Thank you.

@bazelio I always strive for an extremely low noise floor. Any residual hum even if not audible from the listening position modulates the signal and thus impacts resolution. Also my equipment is used in very different systems with very different sensitivities, so it must be quiet under all circumstances. I know some people think a little bit of hum helps musicality and prefer DC filament supplies. Done right DC filaments sound better and more musical than AC filaments. But this comes at a cost. I use many chokes to achieve a low noise floor. That's why I mostly use separate power supplies

Speaker choice is very subjective. Obviously these need efficient speakers. I will demo them with PureSudioPorject Quintett at the High End in Munich
I'm very much looking forward to that
