Help!! Chance to purchase krell KRS 1:50 amps and apogee signature duetta speakers

Huh? Duetta I plus Sig upgrade. Don't see how that isn't clear.

Anyway, answer my questions?
The only thing I have done which I'm currently doing now is tested the amps powered them up by their self I seem to come on click like normal I'm fixing to move forward we're trying to test everything as we speak no I have not ran that test you're talkin about but I plan to look more into that maybe I should do that before I try to hook these up?

Sorry for being so slow.

What is doing my head in looking at the pictures is that the bass panel clamps are quite plainly inside the perimeter of the front cover, and by quite a long way.

Take a look at the attached pictures. Although there's shadow, the clamps line up with the covers.

It is almost like the cover is incorrect for the speaker, or the bass clamps have been deliberately repositioned for some reason.

The pictures are quite low resolution so it is hard to tell, but the Kapton/foil bass ribbons look OK.

I will have a chat with the refurbisher to see what he thinks. He's seen far more pairs of Apogees than I ever have or will.
Well those are beautiful maybe I can paint these one day if they work good

I have the manual that goes to these speakers I'm assuming the diagram so the bi wire it's kind of what I'm going to go with?

Yeah it's is as I explained in the earlier post. Use the bi-wire diagram if it helps but it is as I said.

You have to have a DAC, laptop and the pre and power amps and speakers all connected up before you can do that test I was talking sbout.

Wire 9 and 10 to the left and right respectively of the power amp. Wire 1 and 2 to your DAC respecting left and right markings.

Is one speaker running off one amp each or does 1:00 amp control bass and 1 amp control treble? The way the numbers are on the back of the preamp doesn't match the amps and some are missing also three green wires with a batteries on them I guess are RCA cables trying to figure out where they go 1 wire from 1 amp to each speaker?

I understand I'm trying to get to that point I'm just not sure about the wiring even with the Bi wiring diagram in the middle of trying to be sure to do it right. Once again I really do appreciate your time and effort and patience

I forgot you had a pair of monos. So wire 9 to the monoblock you are going to connect to the right speaker. And 10 to the mono you are going to connect to the left speaker.

One mono drives both bass and mid/treble of a speaker.

Looking at the cables they have RCA connectors so that is what they will be.

It is hard to break anything TBH so I wouldn't worry too much. Be careful not to short the amp speaker cables with the power amps on, though.

well what happened? Did you ever get this system hooked up? You disappeared.
And yeah you got a hell of a deal. I don't really care about those speakers but the 2 nice Krell and even the Aragon amps all for $1000 is a steal! You can't go wrong with the old Krell amps for the money .

According to his Profile: Last seen: Jul 4, 2019

Funny, I would be way more interested in the Apogees to keep.
The Krells and Aragons I would just sell to (partly) finance the overhaul of the Apogees
