Holostages - critical review

Do dish and tell. What Stein devices have you tried as there are many? I currently have 4 of their H-pro boxes along with their activators. The effect when I place them around the room and have the boxes turned on is quite effective. So effective that I basically run them on the lowest settings as running them higher gives me a hyper detailed sound I find not as natural. I also have their turntable mat and a Q3 organizer. The mat makes music more natural and the organizer takes out any artifacts introduced from noisy or polluted electrical lines. Yes, my power is to die for twice a year, spring and fall. Interestingly, my power is already cleaner than others and my room dead quiet from outside noise. When no one is running either ac or heat my digital is much like vinyl with its glorious palpability. So, yes, please do tell.
Howdy - curious about something. How much approximately was it too purchase 4 Stein H-pro boxes and (no idea how many) activators? I would put my two cents in and say probably quite a bit more than 4 Halo's.
I am not dissing you but curious. As this is what I find intriguing. Many of us talk about effective tweaks - some are good, some awesome - but all at very different price points.
For example, I super wish I could afford some Less Loss items.

I currently have the Stein Music Speaker Match - Signature and WILL NEVER part with them. I found them astounding, and provided a clearer and more pinpointed clarity with sharp tones, cymbals, etc. When you have it loud, and you hear the sound with little muddiness, and impacts your chest. Tight and quick!

Cheers

I think part of our continuing discussion may- and I say MAY- have to do with the fact that not many of us have come in contact with female audiophiles or female principles engaged in the audio business. Whether this product works and how it works has produced a considerable amount of "head scratching". I have always been one who looks to compare products for effectiveness and cost and I think that is healthy. It may also have well come the time to simply acknowledge that this product works for whatever reason and works in a way that can be adjusted/relocated/placed, etc. in a room in such a way that many of us perceive positive results. We accept that certain cables produce results we perceive as being better than other cables even though we don't have any testing results to confirm what we think we hear- why should Holostages be different? I agree with the preceding post that product comparison is a sensible direction relative to these Holostages. There is a line in a Buddy Guy song as follows: "You don't have to be the best in town, you just have to be the best until the best comes along." I also think - for whatever and why-ever the reason- these stages may now be the best in town.
Hi H - I am wondering, as I have seen some comments before (in other blogs), about gender and audiophiles. Does a true audiophile have to be a male? I think not. I believe, and I think that you do as well, that a person with passion for audio, an inquisitive mind, and perhaps some insights from former audiophiles, can be great assets to the audio community. Don't think great products are invented or manufacture on first attempt:)

Moreover, it's the creativity and individuality, that sometimes really inspires and motivates other's to get stoked about hifi audio - IMHO.
And trying new things, and comparing new items. I find this a fun journey. And really try not to get all tied up in science and measurements, etc.

It's quite easy to be critical I find; but I'm assuming we all have different musical tastes, different audio environments, and extremely different components, to somewhat affordable to over $200 K a component.

Glad that for the most part the audio community is accepting of our different perspectives or points of view.

Regards,

This guy talked me into them. I ordered a set.

Kingrex, that's a significant step for you, and I don't mean it negatively. I look forward to hearing your comments after receiving them.

I'm more excited about the horn sub. The Holo is, well, not sure. But I assume it will have a positive affect.

My amps already project a big stage. The other night there was a block someone was hitting in a recording and it was somewhere outside the house on the roof. I kept looking up and muted the sound to ensure it was part of the recording.

I fully agree. The item(s) that gets us closer to whatever our audio goals are is what counts. I was merely pointing out that in a previous line of posts a question we presented as to how certain things had been created/perfected.

I don't know but it just does. If we assume the device puts SOMETHING into the room IDK does this disperse it more effectively? Just way more spacious- sounds like a much bigger room.
Why do you think the device puts something into the room? Your room is already full of interference from RF, EMF, modes from sound waves. A passive device only needs to interact with noise already there to have an influence on it.

I'm not saying I know but does it suck up the noise? cause it to move in a chaotic fashion so it self cancels?

Your first 5 words state you have no understand what the device does. Then you follow with somewhat inflammatory words such as causing it (what is "It") to move in a chaotic fashion.

I have no idea what to expect. Enough people say its positive, so I will try it. I recognize there is a whole lot of noise introduced by the world around me I have little comtrol over. I am hoping this gives some small amount of control.

FWIW, I have a good friend with a BACCH. That device will allow us to measure changes in the room as well as impulse response. I don't quite know what the data will actually mean. I'm most interested to know if the BACCH tries to cancel the heard affect. Or will it try to expand upon it.

I think you meant to respond to pmiller, and spell check changed it to me, just plain old Miller.

But yeah, the stuff totally works. Undeniably. Only question is how?! But it definitely does work. Also I think Krissy contributed a lot more to Perfect Path than people think. In any case she has developed more and better products, far better than anything Perfect Path ever had, and with a lot more performance per dollar.
@Miller. -- I am so glad you clarified your point. I was not being defensive at all, but you, I guess, were given your rebuttal. That's ok!!!!! No big deal.
I have known Krissy for many years. I was a big fan of Perfect Path Technology products in its heyday. I can tell you all of the products under the Heartsound name are Krissy's. She and Tim were partners in life and business with PPT. They were not married. Krissy has overcome numerous obstacles in establishing Heartsound, and she is to be commended.

Now, back to the discussion of whether Holostage works in everyone's system and where the best place to locate them.

Congratulations on a well thought out and implemented system. I did pick up on some great Krissy ideas for my system as well. Thanks for sharing. Also good to see that MillerCarbon's camera skills have improved.

OK here's that video of my system, showing my Holostages and several other products from Heartsound:
I want to fish that swamp. Do you have bigs cats in it?
