APEX is more than only an evolved Mephisto. It surpasses the Mephisto in every sonic aspects.
In Hong Kong the prices of APEX stereo & mono amps are more "reasonable" than the flagships of most European Hiend brands.

Thank you. I genuinely look forward to reading your posts. Fascinating experiences always and always great insights and observations. I am sure I would be blown away in hearing the Apex, and I could well believe it is well, well beyond an evolved Mephisto. Fortunately, the Robert Kodas have been a remarkable experience and leave me in no particularly hurry to audition anything else! I will be sure to post when I do hear the Apex at some point.

I might pick up a.pair of FMA 111 in the future preferably more power but depends on whats available on the market
When i go FMA i ll buy their pre amp too .

There is currently a pair for sale incl 245 pre amp , according to FMA you have to use their Force line cables .
I inquired for the price .


The FMA 111 sounded very good despite being small in size
FMA bass is different then normal solid state it captures an almost live like bass definition , which is not always ultimately controlled but can be diffuse .
I heard Prince and Pink Floyd and the guitar play and Prince his voice were just something else .
Purity of tone/ flow / inner detail it just sounds right.

I think a pair of 111 can drive my speakers
People can laugh may be as they weigh only 11 kg a piece and cost as much as some of the heavy hitters in high end audio.
But when you listen you laugh no more

Do let us know if you get the FMA! I recall you have long appreciated their qualities...and I have enjoyed reading your many posts about FMA which I always found informative and insightful. As you can see from the history of this thread, I really do like FMA a lot. Pretty remarkable stuff...the kind of designs that you can easily live with for a very very long time and potentially for all time to come.
