LM drivers are quite poor compared to other drivers, including the WE 16a replica that brad heard which was at audioplan. It was quite nice in terms of bass integration to the woofers, but GIP and another custom made replica as well as originals are better. I have got to compare all of them in another 16a. They are excellent to start with for the money. Or were until they hiked prices

The result is a horn that, in combination with the 555 compression driver, has an effective range of 200Hz–7kHz. As for the Line Magnetic driver itself, Aschenbrenner praises its unit-to-unit consistency—in contrast to the original, no two of which seem to sound exactly the same—and its sound quality in absolute terms: "I have four original Western Electric 555s. Now they are on the shelf."
He used original 555s for years at home in a custom enclosure. The GIPs are supposed to be very good, but aren't they $25k/pair for 555s and over $50k for 597s?
No and my comment had nothing to do with the speaker, but LM drivers. The people I am talking about are also manufacturers. You can chat with JM Morrison and Silbatone gang and some of the most learned western electric crowd in Munich

Yes you have got to the point. Of course there are better 555 replica drivers like GIP but as you say they are exorbitant and well beyond your budget. No point even discussing them.

Pitch Perfect does NOT have Diesis, the only dealer in the US that has Diesis available for demonstration is Rhapsody.Audio in Manhattan. What was said above was that PP has the Line Magnetic speaker, not the Diesis.
I prefer without but you're at a home now, not a complex, so I wouldn't necessarily say it was a bad choice before. But also I'm not there in person or anything to know for sure, I just hear more alive from second. The thing is that generally speaking without any kind of power conditioning I find stereos unlistenable in person, but not always. (although I don't like most conditioning at all)
Regardless of which one has power conditioning or not, for me the second video sounds better than the first video. The first video instruments are brought up and make me listen to instrument. The second video I am hearing the "music in the room" as a whole.
If this were on vinyl I would pick the violin as a spot to adjust the vta to get most presence and energy coming from that violin.
The music is very nice by the way sir. What is it?
