It would be great to finally meet! Unfortunately that was more the 'editorial we' I'm going to be stuck in NY for this one though Munich is on my bucket list. It's obviously not my territory, but as an audiophile I want to get there both for the show and to see my international friends.

Pity as I was really looking foward to finally meeting you...
I hope there will be a chance in the (near) future

Horizons at the Munich 2022 Show

To any of you planning on making it out to the Munich Show, please make sure you budget some time to come see us as we present our flagship Horizon DAC in two exquisite show rooms.

In Atrium 4.2 room E228 the Horizon DAC will be presented alongside Taiko Audio, Jadis and Alsyvox in a very special collaboration. There will be some surprises in store in this space!

In Atrium room 4.2 E214 the Horizon DAC and Gulfstream server will be presented alongside VAC Statement electronics using speakers by Gershman Acoustics.

Both of these rooms are expected to be big draws featuring exquisite sounds... don't miss it!

Fred A.
In addition to the two rooms mentioned above, it appears I neglected to mention our setup in Hall 4, S03 where a LampizatOr Horizon DAC is being demonstrated with some lovely Sveda speakers!

Between the three different Horizon exhibits at the show we hope listeners will be able to get a real feel for what the source is contributing!

Geez never looked to meet me lol. I’ll bet your glad I don’t know where you live just kidding
Alfonso, you are always welcome

Do you have a sense for the sound of the Horizon compared to the Pacific?

Well, we did not do an elaborate A/B but we used the Pacific Tuesday afternoon / Wednesday morning till Lukasz arrived to swap in the Horizon, it was brand new, it did provide a larger image instantly with more delicacy and sophistication, at first I thought I noticed a reduction in dynamics/impact, but that changed after a few hours and with swapping the KR-88s for the KT-170s. Right now I‘d say it’s indeed on a completely different level in about any parameter, we should really swap back in the Pacific to make sure but I don‘t feel the desire and suspect it may sound rather disappointing.

That’s been my experience as well. It takes 3 weeks for the majority of the break-in to occur but I think it is on a different level than the Pacific in every way. Enjoy!
