I second the grounding wire. And it is not that much. No kidney needed

Thanks to all. L is going to send me a silver wire. It will have 9 links for grounding. So while not a kidney, I now am pancreas free (sold for quick cash).

you wont regret it. At least as the saying goes, it didn't cost you an arm and a leg ;)

One’s true wealth lies within. Don’t forget the bodily fluids ;)

I purchased my first audiophile turntable in 1984 by participating in a medical study while a student. Where there is a will…

If I may, as an off topic side note on the subject of grounding, in addition to TP's great adapters and ground wire (I have a GG3), on cecilbern's advice I've found an additional significant sonic benefit from using a plug-in unit for system grounding. These units are for those who can't do an outside ground rod. Puritan and Russ Andrews (both UK) are the main dealers I know of, at least on the lower end. The variables are the plug-in unit(s) -- I found the Andrews more open/dynamic -- signal vs. chassis grounds or some combo, and the choice of ground cables (Andrews). It also makes sense to plug the RF units into a different electrical circuit, either via long ground cables or a grounded surge protector with a long heavier gauge cord.

The one folks are talking about is the subbase vividus zwo ground box - ideally one for digital and one for analog - not cheap

It's been several weeks since I have posted about my Horizon experience. This transcends seeking out the vintage tubes and paying a fortune but I thought would interest Horizon owners who need adapters for their tubes to play in the Horizon or in any Lampizator for that matter

As the saying goes, "everything matters". All I can say is that the TP adaptors by Laszlo and Tibor with associated Star grounding cable are an absolute must. in fact you'll think I'm drinking the Kool Aid when I tell say I'm gobsmacked as to how good these adapters make my system sound.

Laslo is making these now in a standard edition and a Special Edition. If you can spring for the Special Edition Adapter along with his Special Edition Star Grounding Wires do it. They are truly that good. I have adaptors for the Valvo G2504 and Telefunken RGN2004 as well as the TFKN c3g all 3 star grounded to the rear grounding post on the Horizon

Up until today I have been waiting for the final piece to my TP adapter collection ad that was the adapter for my SRS551. I ordered a pair of these in the Special Edition as as well as the Special Edition Star grounding wire. These arrived today from the beautiful city of Budapest and as always impeccably wrapped by Laszlo . Laszlo promised e I would be in for a surprise with these adaptors as they bring out the best in the tubes

It was an absolute understatement as it was listening to a major upgrade in my system as the dynamics were not only there but were there in a tight, articulate fashion. The snap of the stick on the drum skin will give you goose bumps and the sound of the guitar strings was really unexpected. I played my typical demo disc and every song played seemed to bring me closer to the music that ever before

It really is fortuitous that we tube whacko's here at WBF have the good fortune of having Laszlo and Tibor not only provide us with exotic and beautiful tubes and now with the TP Adapters Special Edition and Special Edition ground wire,

I have only listened for a few hours today but enough to know that these adapters are a must have Ultimate Tweak if you are using tubes that need adaptors for your Lampi. Laszlo told me they will sound even better with some hours of burn in. They really are also a work of art and a thing of beauty that complements the look of your Lapi

These adapters are so good that I told Laszlo he should consider making all the standard adapters and he would be rich. Much to his credit, he said he loves his Lampi community and for the moment is enjoying making these only for the tubes we have bee getting from him

Below are some photos
How can I purchase Laszlo adapters?

Paypal wont let me pay for the ad as I am paying myself it says

In Catch-22 Milo Minderbinder iirc sets up a massive conglomerate in which all transactions are between himself.

I also have a silver TP grounding cable (3 leads from adapters to spade) for sale. It was built recently by Laszlo for my GATRP. Asking for 350 shipped. For E55L adapters I am asking 450 shipped.

My SR Pink 3.15A shorted in the Horizon (not sure why, 2nd one in 6 months), so after speaking w/ Poland got the go-ahead to try a 4A Pink instead.

Serendipitously the 4A sounds a bit more detailed and 'meat on the bones' than the 3.15A. It's subtle but for the curious folks it might be worth trying 4A instead of 3.15A. For those of you who are crazy enough to 'fuse roll' between the two, well.... I think there are spa retreats to help w/ the insanity.

;)

Do you guys switch off the power button on the back when rolling tubes?
