Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

I've ordered an RK60 and Brimar 5Z4GY. Anyone tried either of these tubes? Also is anyone using the U52 to good effect, and what have you compared it to?
Did you get those ones?

Did you try it?

No not yet, I will with Lampi and Allnic, as both use the same recti. Will take a few weeks though.

Will be interested in this......

I can always get them over heh

Are there any US tube vendors that sell KR 242s?

Right now my only option seems to be best300b.

Actually, I think I will first try a pair of PX25s.

Excellent tube.
Especially in the GG2 and Pacific
In the GG1, I preferred the 242 ;)

Actually, I think that is a wise choice ;)
I'm not sure what I would like more in a B7?
What digital engine (R2R?) does your B7 have, dminches?
If R2R, I would go with the 242 but after you already have the PX25, they are also excellent

From the Lampizator website: New, completely redesigned digital section, which is a direct streamline of the new Pacific engine, with code name "engine53".

With that engine whichever way you go -> PX25 or 242 is a stairway to heaven...

In this case, my educated guess would be: stick in the PX25 and be done
Especially after you already own the PX25 ;)

Just installed the Marconi U50 rectifier. It's wonderful! Thanks Adamaley for the recommendation.
Back to listening...
What are you comparing the Marconi U50 recti to?
