I tried to connect to the Technics link and never connected. The rest of our internet connections here are working, so I wonder about the Technics website.
Just notice that Spec (Japanese company that makes the Spec aluminium disc mat) also makes a highly specialised TT. It's definitely a work of art! Check it out on their website.
It's actually one TT that I would certainly like to try out at least but it's cost is 32 grand upwards...

Such a shame. Especially if you worked on a motor controller for them. I'd say it is great to be a part of a project like that, even if ultimately they went with a different option
