[please forgive my poor English]

Did someone have the opportunity to listen to the YG Peaks line? Specificaly the TOR model (standmount, 2 ways), that @Gregadd mentioned to me elsewhere?

My specific question/concern: what about its midrange? This 2-ways goes as low as 37Hz in the bass. I am always wondering with that kind of magic trick (for a 2-ways): is there something left for the midrange...? (the TAD CE1-TX for instance goes as low as 36Hz in the bass too, but it is a 3-ways, whose expressiveness on voices is genuinely stunning for a cone speaker; they are also much more expensive, sure).

YG is located room A 4.2, E218.
Here is their timetable.
The 2-ways TOR can be heard, with Descent active, DSP-powered subwoofer (sealed cabinet, DSP-corrected but no room-EQ embedded IIUC) in room A 4.2, E218,
- Saturday 4PM-6PM
- Sunday 10AM-12AM

Thanks!

I think the TAD is a concentric three way. The TOR as I recall is a legitimate full range speaker.

Wilson Benesch CAD.

Sounds quit nicely balanced ,not intrusive like many systems do

The CAD/Trilogy/Wilson Benesch room was definitely one of the very best sounding rooms. That wonderful CAD dac and the engaging sound of Trilogy amplification is always a combination made in audio heaven. Sometimes Wilson Benesch can sound too clinical with the wrong head, but with CAD and Trilogy they sounded perfect.

My other top room (other than CAD/Trilogy) was the Boenicke room where they were debuting the W22 speaker. I do love the Boenicke sound and these speakers were an extreme version of that: the sound completely filled the room with the speakers completely disappearing. That’s not easy to pull off at a show. And the sound was extraordinary.
