New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Three good games to watch today.

The Nets vs Bucks should be a good game and the Lakers are playing the Warriors at Chase Center which should be a good game if the starters play. I expect the Warriors to be in the playoffs this year assuming Klay will play at some point in the season

Also the Clippers play the Mavs. Doncic looks really unstoppable so far in the preseason

Indiana's trade assets are mostly bigs (Sabonis, Turner), who don't seem a fit with Embiid and Harris. Brogdon would certainly help but that's not nearly enough even with a couple mid-round firsts. Hard for me to see w/o a third team.

Nets say Kyrie Irving ineligible to play in home preseason game
Irving's absence will begin bleeding into games starting with Friday's contest against the Bucks

NEW YORK (AP) — The Brooklyn Nets listed Kyrie Irving as ineligible to play in their home exhibition game Friday, another strong indication he has not met New York’s vaccination requirement.

Irving has not been with the Nets for any of their practices in New York, where professional athletes are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to practice or play.

The Nets are prevented by law from revealing whether he has been vaccinated, but listed him as “ineligible to play” in the injury report for their preseason game Friday against Milwaukee (7:30 ET, NBA TV).

There is nothing related to the NBA that would cause a player to have that designation.

Unless Irving is vaccinated, he would have to miss the Nets’ 41 home games and their two road games against the New York Knicks. The NBA has said he wouldn’t be paid for any of those games.

He practiced with the Nets last week when they held training camp in San Diego, but hasn’t been with the team since it returned home.

Kyrie is now an obvious detriment to the team as he will miss 43 games this season if he holds out. I must admit that I believe in freedoms of choice here in the USA and that the mandates are illegal But they are here and it is put up or shut up.

He isn't even tradeable if he is not vaccinated.

The Nets have a gazillionaire for an owner. Perhaps the best solution is to buy out his contract (which would be huge) but at some point this must be about the needs of the many rather than the needs of the one ( as Spock said in Star Trek a long time ago)

I heard that Pau Gasol was looking for a chance to join the Over The Hill Gang but they said he was too old for the Lakers. o_O

Pau Gasol retires, Lakers reportedly planning to hang up No. 16

Pau Gasol retired from basketball on Tuesday and is expected to soon have his jersey retired by the Lakers.

Early in the 3rd

67-55 Warriors

In one word…….the Lakers look old and LeBron seems so out of sync

only thing I’m liking is the Lakers dominance under the hoop with Howard and Jordan

AD sits tonight so Lakers definitely minimizing minutes Lakers are a very tall team. Rondo must be the shortest.

ive been disappointed with Westbrook in his first appearance In a Lakers uniform

Warriors are definitely a much improved team. Can’t wait for Klay to finally come back. What a disruption at the peak of his career.

Only 4 preseason games and we're off to the races on Oct. 19. It's good to have just basketball and no extra curricular distractions and actions.

The updates on Kyrie is getting more ridiculous. Now, he can practice in a private facility but cannot play in home games. Why practice? :D And this scenario make Allen Iverson look real bad for not practicing. :D

Here is a small distraction with the Celtics ......

Jaylen Brown sidelined after testing positive for COVID-19

The sixth-year guard is asymptomatic and in quarantine.

The Boston Celtics announced that Jaylen Brown is in quarantine after he tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

He is asymptomatic.

The sixth-year guard is coming off a strong All-Star campaign, a season that was cut short after he sustained a torn ligament in his left wrist in May.

Brown underwent successful surgery and returned to action for the Celtics’ preseason opener on Monday. The 24-year-old star scored a game-high 25 points in a 98-97 win over the Orlando Magic.

Brown averaged a career-high 24.6 points to go along with 6.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists during the 2020-21 season.

Brown’s All-Star teammate Jayson Tatum contracted COVID-19 last season.
