New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

I was interested to see where Mike D’Antoni ended up as he resigned from the Nets as asst coach under Nash (who played for Dantoni ) to pursue a HC opportunity

you all know he is my least favorite NBA coach. Well I just checked. He’s now on the Pelicans pay roll as a coaching advisor ……. Whatever that means

Mike must love coaching as he's 70 years old and likely doesn't need the money after a long NBA coaching career.

I don’t think it sat well with him that Steve Nash was his boss

Holy Moses. Moses Wright that is. What a beast. He's on my list of unknowns who might not be unknown for long specially with Kawhi and Serge out. Jackson, Mann, PG, Wright, Zubac.... or Morris Sr, Wright for small ball....Hmmmm

Nets young ones look scary good. They could take 5 minutes without their big three and run their opponents into the ground. LOTS of speed on that roster! While that may just be a regular season advantage, it looks like they will definitely be getting a high seeding.

I thought this was the 2 week Celtics Moses, Jack. But you're right, this guy is quite a beast.

I think every team now needs a fast 6'10"=ish rim protecting, floor running, dunker spot pogo stick. In the 3 point era it's fast bigs for the close outs. Every team needs at least a baby Bam or Giannis type. Looks like the Clips got theirs in this guy. Not as tall but effective exactly that way is Zion. Young AD for sure before he started getting hurt a lot. Sad thing is, if this was how Simmons was used, at his natural position, he'd be just that too.

Funny how the game has flipped on its head. Now you need guys that will force a team to collapse into the middle so the shooters can get open LOL

So what team are you calling to win it all. To me it’s the Nets year if they can stay healthy and Kyrie doesn’t go over the edge

Another big game tonight as the Lakers are in Phoenix to play the Suns. I wonder if the Lakers have a statement to make and will give some time to the starters of the "Over The Hilll Gang" as they try to pull off a win. In game one of the preseason the Lakers were killed by the Nets bench. I did see some great poutside shooting however from Malik Monk as the Lakers need a shooter of his ability

To me, those are BIG IFs, physical and now, thanks to Kyrie, mental attitude, if we shall not use the word health. They have super starters and all it takes is, as I said, 1 second of misfortune in the ankle landing, a pulled hamstring or groin, and it ruins the whole bus tour towards the championship. For one of these not to happen, Kyrie needs to have a big bag of incense to spray into the air as one of their big 3 Harden came off an injury and was not 100%, leaving KD to carry the brunt. Contrast that to a ghastly knee twist that happened to the Greek Freak but he came back miraculously in a couple of days as if nothing happened. With the Bucks, I will have no 'ifs' to worry about. :)

I think the Nets have a huge shot to win it all even without Kyrie. I'm not counting out the Bucks though. They learned something the latter part of the season and I'm betting they are going to build on Giannis' improved decision making and passing. I also think the same will be done on the defensive end. Dog fight between the two as the 76ers backslide. Hawks still missing something.

My dark horse this year is Miami. The Bulls I want to see. My Pacers stuck in limbo :( If they trade for Simmons while keeping Brogdon and Warren, so I guess that means a 3 team where Sabonis goes, that would be a team I'd like to watch too. It would be weird to have Pacers actually Pace but yeah that would be fun LOL

Old as they are, the Lakers still look strongest in the East but I haven't been taking any hard looks at Utah yet. Clips....not without KL.

I also believe the Knicks will be in the top 5 or 6 in the East

I think so too. Now if Barret can just learn how to finish at the rim....... :)

Well, if that happens, whether by injury or vax issues, that might lead to Kyrie's retirement. :D

Picture this, he recruited KD, and he won't be there when KD wins the cup? And KD wins it with Harden and not him? That will drive him nuts, or more nuts, taking account his present condition. :D

Bottom line is he has no one to blame except himself

I would like to say that I buy into this but one thing remains certain....this likely will be LeBron's last good shot at another ring. I just don't see it happening .....

2021-22 Season Preview: Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are optimistic their 'Big 3' of Westbrook, James and Davis leads them to another championship in 2021-22.

Hope you are right about Wright, Jack. Not too familiar with him myself but always open to previously undiscovered talent for the Clippers!

I looked into his College carreer last night .The skills are definitely there. Good enough to dominate at that level and I'm guessing good enough for solid role playing at this one. At 22 he's got an NBA ready body. It's all up to the coaching staff to get his mind ready. Use this guy Coach Lue!

Saw highlights of the Bulls destroying the hapless as usual Cavs. This is a fun team to watch. Bob must be all smiles :)

Lakers Over The Hill Gang lose to the Suns. Big scorer was Melo with 8
They didn't play James, Westbrook, Howard at all. Can't expect to win that way.
