New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Here's some food for thought......if statistics are to be considered, this is one stat in the Celtics favor

The Celtics won 3 elimination games on their way to the Finals, while the Warriors are 3-3 in closeout games this postseason -- with all 3 losses coming on the road.

I'm not too bullish on that stat though, Steve. It's still how they play the game. Again I have to say that if the C's don't rain in a record number of 3s, things look bleak. 3s raining in has a way of demoralizing the opponent, I noticed. That's how they won games against the Bucks and the Heat. There is just one game left for Tatum to do what his idol Kobe did, to score 40 points or more and take over the team or game. :D One game, or he's going fishing. What boggles me no end though is why or how Vegas would make Boston a 4 point favorite. The house would lose a lot of money if the turnovers and missed FTs continue. :D

But there still would be game 7 to seal the deal for the Warriors :)
Not that I hope it will be neccessary :D
If that happens, I would strongly urge the Celtics coaches to review and show the tapes of the 2016 Finals Game 7 between the Cavs of LeBron ( I can't believe I just said that) against the Warriors to the Celtics players. It could serve as a blueprint for winning game 7s. :D

I believe Vegas has the odds correct tonight. Not only is anything possible tonight, it seems the Celtics rebound and win after a previous demoralizing loss. Celts are tough and Curry needs an epic game because if they don't tomorrow, Sunday's game should be one for the ages

I blocked/erased that from my memory
What would you suggest the Celtics to do?

In this series against the Warriors, I feel that the best offense is better than the best defense. I mean that C's have to have their best offensive game tonight, it's been proven that they do not win by lowering the score of the Warriors. They have to help themselves up upping their points and scoring big.

I really don't know. Like yourself I had blocked that from my memory but somehow youtube has been posting that ending in my feeds. I never really watched that game and for years didn't even know how it ended. It's for the C's to find out, mostly for inspiration. :)

The same video could provide inspiration as well to the warriors

If Celtics manage to slow Steph tonight , if Klay and the others don't show up like they did in game 5 Celts will tie the series tonight.

Having said that I would be shocked if Steph doesn't find his shot again. Plus the other bash brother needs to play a solid game. I would love to see Klay be the one to drop the winning shot. It would be redemption for him and coming back after a 2 1/2 year absence

as much as I love the game and to see this series be decided by a single game, winer take all, the Warriors MUST win tonight because Celtics win on the road under adverse situations. This one would be no different

I'm pretty confident that Steph won't have another off night.
And it would really be nice for Klay to contribute significantly

For the sake of my nerves, I would like the Warriors to win game 6 but I would NOT completely write off the Warriors in a game 7 ;)

It is funny that in these talk shows of ESPN and Fox, all the experts will start proclaiming the winner of the last game as the champion and the loser doomed, all for the last 5 games. :D

There was one commentator who pointed out that the C's may have run out of gas from the grueling 7 game series against the Bucks and the Heat. That is a fair assessment, imo.

It might become a factor, but only if the Celtics are (very) far behind.
If they are in front or even in hitting distance, the adrenaline kicks in and lets them forget all the past 7 games series ;)

Not sure I agree. The Bucks series is far enough behind that it shouldn’t be a factor. Needless to say I’d love to see the GSW win it all but if the Celts win it would be one of the greatest title runs in history.

I do fear for Boston, more that the Warriors.
In my mind, the Warriors just need to play well.
Boston needs to play better than well.
Oversimplification...

Turnovers, yes.
In Game 5, Brown and Tatum got hammered at the rim with either a collapsed defence or being bodied-up/strongly challenged.
Foul or no foul (was hard to tell from our angle), they have to go up much stronger.

Agree as well, Boston needs to hit some threes.
Brown needs to get going. When he gets in rhythm he can spark a 10 point run.

Game time Phil

good luck and all I can say is no matter who wins, will be a deserving champion. i still believe that if the GSW don’t close out the Celts tonight, I think the Celts would be favorite to win game 7
