Now if only Jeanie had the brass cajones to rebuild and trade the king and his court the hell out of LA.
lakers are pegged at 18th in the league. I wonder if they will even make the play in round this year. Can you imagine the cameras and press when Le Bron and Bronny play together. Does anyone really care. For that Jeanie paid $92M as well as forgetting about a championship for years to come.

The show must go on ;)

Remember when Real Madrid "bought" the 40 yo Beckham for some silly 40 millions?
They got their price back within a little over one year with selling Beckham jerseys alone
Unfortunately that is the way it is nowadays

I personally don't see anyone in the league with brass cajones to trade LeBron James at this point in time. Flashback to The Decision, that single act, or show, propelled James as the best career scriptwriter, ever, in basketball history. Nobody has ever propagated himself more in the annals of hoops by sheer utilizing the media, ESPN in capital letters, sports agents and businessmen ( Phil Jackson called them 'posse') that the result is that the Commissioner was even reluctant or evasive in slapping him with fines or suspensions for violating league rules. From there, we see how he really is the king, king of manipulation. I've said this many times before, records shows James is not in this league just for winning titles for his teams. It is even possible that he joins yet another team in the year his baby Bronnie enters the draft. Because he has declared them 2 will be united as one, and he WILL do it. He always gets things done his way. The record also shows that.

except with the Lakers, it's not about "merch" but all about winning championships. The Lakers make hundreds of millions of $$$ with their cable contract with Spectrum each year so it's not as if they need merch to pay LeBron

Winning is what being a Laker is all about not waiting for an old over the hill man to play with his young son on the court

My biggest hope is that there is an option in his contract that he can leave after the first year. I hope he gets the hell out of LaLa Land

Here's the prediction I've been waiting to read........not unexpectedly, they are going nowhere other than their top three going to the bank with their ginormous pay checks. The only pertinent fact is that Westbrook and Beverly loathe each other. So much for team chemistry !!

30 Teams in 30 Days: Lakers search for answers after letdown season

Just as in 2021-22, how the Lakers' star trio fares (and actually plays) together will shape this season's outlook.

I visited suburban Atlanta this weekend. I went by Shaquille O'Neal's house. Big but relatively modest. Apparently, he has a presence in the community.

You guys think Mitchell is worth it for Cleveland? Will he be big time in the playoffs?

Allen/Mobley/Okoro/Garland/Mitchell is a good looking, two-way (frontcourt anyway) starting 5 with plenty of room for growth.

I just threw up in my breakfast cereal

'WE WANT BRONNY' CHANTS RAIN DOWN ON LEBRON, BRONNY FROM OHIO STATE CROWD

Ohio State fans chant "we want Bronny" as LeBron and Bronny James check out Ohio State vs. Notre Dame.

Maybe you should first finish your breaky before you start reading about Basketball in the mornings :D :p

His marketing tactics are really working. People believe even in his son, who's not been labeled a phenom as far as I've seen.

No easy access to US media, means I've never seen Chris "Mad Dog" Russo.
One clip does not tell me the full story, but not impressed with this one.

I don't always, but in this case agree with Stephen A.
I would like to see what happens to Westbrook on court this season.

Hope Darvin changes his style a little to better fit the team.
Hoping he has to play defence.
Wondering if he'll play significant minutes staggered/without AD and Lebron.
Demanding he takes less shots from outside.
Gets given the opportunity to attack the basket more.

3 big stars and only 1 ball. That was said in the first year of LeBron in Miami. Lebron is now a full time ball hogger. More than ever. Westbrook is in that mold. To score, Davis needs the ball too. To have this work out, Coach Ham has to do a lot of work. I really pity this coache who have plans for his players, role assignments, etc. How can he order LeBron to do what LeBron does not want to do? Which coach really did that with total success? Most got his ire or get fired if he's not happy with anything.

The usage of Lebron may have to change a little more this year to protect his health.
Shorter stints on court. I would like last year's 37 mins to drop to 30-32 mins a game. Not likely.
And really would like to see Russ playing more minutes with the second unit.
