I started the thread. I’ve made it abundantly clear I’m not interested in subs with the Reference Ultra yet you continue to tell me I should. I might be interested in reading your thread but not wanting you to pollute this thread
No Steve, please read my posts. I am telling that other people could be interested in properly knowing why subs do not match (or match ...) with Zellaton's.
I still have hope someone from Zellaton writes on this interesting subject.
Sorry to learn that members who start threads in a manufacturers forum section have the power to control or moderate them. I had never noticed it before.

but we dont have the power micro. Im merely asking you to be polite and start your own thread. Im not interetsed in derailing this thread as y6ou seem hell bent on.
Given that Steve has not yet heard the speakers in his room it feels premature to make such strong declarations about the role that subs might play. If, for example, Steve were to buy Magnepans would they also absolutely not need subs give that the Wilsons etc didn't? And, to my knowledge, the Zelletons are an open baffle design of some sort or variety
Is the thread focused on sharing opinions, experiences and information? Is it meant to encourage interaction and even debate? Or, is it meant to highlight and promote? Is it meant to solely encourage gushing and sycophancy?

What you call derailing this thread is IMO enriching it. And as far as I see we have both been polite, but have different opinions. I hope the Zellaton people will post about the subject to legitimate the debate or create a new thread on it in this Manufacturer, Distibutor and Dealer section - I am none of them, BTW.

The issue of low powered tube amps has been raised and certainly has been my prime concern until I had lengthy talks with Gideon. He knows my amps very well and said it will not be an issue in my room.
The truly extraordinary and incredibly rude behaviour of some members here leaves me (A HUGE Zellaton speaker fan) no choice but to leave this thread. Wishing you all the best with your purchase Steve and hope they bring you many hours of great musical pleasure and satisfaction.

I understand your consternation. Micro has a way of demolishing threads . My hope is that he hears you and he starts his own thread and that once I take delivery of the speakers you will find your way back to this thread.

What is the point? If you had read my posts in this forum I had owned Zellaton type speakers much before you dreamed about it and said great things about them.
I put up 3 reviews none with Zellaton employing subwoofers. I was trying to once again make a point to suggest that your very stiff necked opinions don’t ring true.
Gideon IIRC said here that in 14 years he has never recommended subs with Zellaton. None of these reviewers felt the need.
Mike Malinowski doesn’t feel the need with his Statements
