New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

@christoph

GSW won again tonight also on the road, something they couldn’t do last year. The Warriors are a hot team now and for me I’d bet on a hot Warriors team than a luke warm Suns team

Celtics are unstoppable as they win their 10th in a row but the Bucks seem to have found their new direction and have a 5 game win streak going.

To me now I feel this is going to come down to the Celtics vs the Bucks for the EC finals although the Cavs cannot be ignored

FWIW Giannis dropped 46 last night and he is energized

Lakers have a 5 game road trip coming up which likely will go 0-5 as they face some of the 5 best teams in the league..

The team in the WC that now has my attention is the GSW. This will be their last hurrah IMO with the current team

The Lakers are really scratching the bottom of the barrel...this guy has not played in 2 years......

Source: Lakers agree to two-way deal with Harry Giles III

The Los Angeles Lakers are adding some size to fortify their ailing frontcourt.

Harry Giles III has agreed to a two-way contract with the Lakers, a team source confirmed to ESPN on Friday. L.A. will waive guard Dylan Windler to open the roster spot to accommodate the signing.

The 6-foot-11 Giles was a first-round pick out of Duke in 2017 and has played for the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers and most recently the Brooklyn Nets after being out of the NBA for two years.

Brooklyn waived him last month after the 25-year-old averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.1 minutes in 16 game appearances this season.

L.A. is currently missing centers Christian Wood with swelling in his left knee and Colin Castleton, another two-way player, with a fractured right wrist.

Giles is expected to join the Lakers on Monday, the team source told ESPN.

Bucks were NBA champions only 3 years ago. That tells me a lot.

I believe the Cavs are serious contenders but in the end I see the finals in the East between Celtics and Bucks. As much as I cannot stand Doc as a coach, the team is energized now and Giannis is playing like an MVP. That series can easily go 7 games. I still believe it is the Celtics to lose but the Bucks cannot be ignored and the Sixers are in free fall without Embiid

what amazes me about the Celtics is that not only do they continue to win, but they have great team chemistry. I think only once or twice this year did I hear Tatum's name mentioned as being in the KIA MVP ladder. it seems the MVP always comes down to players like Jokic, Embiid and Giannis

on and off but not on a regular basis....and FWIW and as great as Tatum is I do't believe he or anyone on the Celtics will earn the MVP award

I didn't know until the Lakers played Washington a few nights ago that not only did Jordan Poole play for Washington he was not a starter but came in off the bench . Not only was he not a starter but he was making shots from everywhere on the court many of which were amazing. I guess in the end Draymond was the one who came out victorious as it was Poole who was traded

well today is the day and its even going to happen at crypto.com where today Lakers host the Nuggs and LeBron just needs 9 points. Let's take bets as to what is going to happen when he reaches this milestone but really does anyone care. Bring home the ring and then let's talk about his legacy. I'm sure the lights will dim. balloons and confetti might fall and then the game is stopped as Jeannie and Pelinka come onto the floor for big hugs and kisses followed by the commish who loves to make presentations

Tatum and Brown has been there for around 5-6 years. That is usually the time for maturing into the next level - greatness, bout only if a title is attached. So far they have been to many ECFs and 1 Finals, and still so close but no cigar. Unicorn is a key helper here, in the mold of Pau Gasol. It's hard to imagine Kobe winning 2 titles without Gasol in that era after they dumped Shaq. And even more important, Unicorn must stay healthy towards the playoff grind. Come to think of it, I'm now ok with him sniping 3 balls on catch and shoot rather than him doing aggressive daredevil lunges on both ends. :D

Silver has transposed NBA 'team game' into an individualistic talent award-laden game. I don't recall I heard much hoopla when Kareen broke someone's record as all time scoring leader or when he hit 30,000 points or 35,000 points. I still feel the 'act' of having Kareem there handing the ball to LeBron as awkward and even a bit painful (for the lack of a better word) but with Silver at the helm, he is looking at it to boost more popularity in the league hence boost more income. :(

Dead on analysis But I would also say that Pau would never have won those two rings without Kobe. In fact it was Kobe that made Pau’s legacy.

I saw Pau in the stands beside Vanessa and her daughters on the night they unveiled Kobe’s statue . Their friendship is truly a forever one

well slap my face.....LeBron easily makes his 9 points But play goes on without any whistle to commemorate the moment. No confetti or balloons, no Adam Silver. In fact when the whistle finally blew for a time out, I could hear the PA announcer stating Lebron just scored 40,000 as they broke for the commercial.Upon return, some handshakes by courtside celebrities.

And as Im typing this they showed a quick clip of the announcement and LeBron waving to the crowd. The commish is not even there

Oh, and just for the record I'll be the first to start the countdown because again as we speak LeBron now only needs 9998 points to be the first in a wheel chair to reach the 50,000 point mark :D
