I often just take a peek at the bottom of the Atlantic to check out the lottery situation, Steve. LOL
Not only are they on top with a losing record, if the playoffs start today, they will be seeded no. 4! due 'topping' their division.
Goodness, who would have guessed such a dismal showing from the Atlantic, and the East generally. One bright spot in the East is watching the highlights of the Philly/Magic game the other night. Rookes Michael Carter Williams and Oladipo lit it up in a spectacular duel, both getting triple doubles. MCW is showing confidence in his rookie year.

My high school classmate who migrated to Michigan in the 70s posted these while on a trip to Boston, making me green with envy. And a reminder that we are on top of the Atlantic and in the chase for Banner #18...in the next few years.

Celtics are really not known for their cheerleaders. It's a good thing they actually have them in the last few years. And strange, color is not even green.

Don't be surprised if it's Alan Houston. His salary killed them before and Knicks have to hire someone as bad as Kidd. Maybe people will appreciate it ain't so easy being a coach now!
The game has definitely changed a lot. Positions are no longer so easily defined with players switching duties on the fly. Gone are the days of two capable ball handlers on the floor at one time. These days you can get 7 or 8 of them routinely. It's not even surprising to see 4 or 5 excellent handlers on the floor these days. You can imagine how many permutations have grown out of just this one factor. Now take into account the size and athleticism at 2, 3 and 4 throughout the league.......
Battle of New York tonight. They are 2nd worst in the East. It's hard to imagine a team with Melo, Bargnani, Shumpert, JR Smith, Felton, MWP, and Amare being the 2nd worst team in the East. It can't be just the loss of Chandler that is causing this.

Tough to ignore the Blazers this year as they now have the 2nd best record in the league and beat the Thunder last night. They remain only one game behind the Pacers for best record
nets nearer to rock bottom. all individual plays and shots. even lopez does long set shots. terrible play pattern. their only achievement this year was to say they contributed to 1 loss of miami and that's it. the knicks played more like the knicks of last season, at least for tonight. barkley was saying he feels brad stevens should be coach of the year for bringing boston to the top of the atlantic. that's just being barkley.

that was what my son said while we watched together. and frank, is in another place writing reports. dunno what's next.
What a great game by the Bulls sans Rose to beat the Heat. This Bulls team is all heart, as shown by last year's performance. It's just so tough to swallow being without Rose for 2 straight seasons, but they showed class in this game.
