New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

If the Kings figure out how to not squander leads, this team could be a major dark horse.

Looks like Demarcus Cousins is growing up. He had good experience on Team USA last summer. If he figures it out he will be an incredible player and the Kings will definitely be tough. They just extended Rudy Gay for three years, too...another guy who needs to learn to play team ball. Kings have some talent.

Lance Stephenson reinvents the flop. Left hand hits himself on the mouth and he flops down. Refs fell for it. Look at the slow-mo. Not even a minute into the game, score at 0-0. :D

Hahahahahaha! Man, I wonder what the fine is going to be for that!

and if you're the coach of the lance's team, you have to see that your guy is doing everything to earn a possession.

Lance has to be a little off-kilter. This self-slap incident, along with his strange behavior with Lebron in last year's playoffs makes you wonder about the guy.

Clippers play the Bulls tonight at Staples. Was hoping to see Derrick Rose but he apparently he is "injured." That's another strange situation. Rose is a great player but....

I find both your postulates as very thought provoking

There is no doubt about the strange behavior

But D Rose. I hope his most recent interview wont go down to infamy when he told the interviewer the reason he was keeping himself out of the game

What happens if the team doc declares him fit to play does he always have the last say or by not playing, is he not paid ??

I hope he doesn't become another Andrew Bynum

I think the Bulls have to look forward with an uncertain Rose, at least for this season. The sting of last season early relapse must still be on Rose's mind, and the scariest part is, as Steve mentioned, he might be an Andrew B in a worst case scenario. If the Bulls make the playoffs, which is very likely, what will the aggressive level of Rose be? If he still dangles on the past, it would be a blurred present. I'm not really bullish on him (no pun intended) as his daredevil style, his real style, will have already been diminished by the present state of affairs.

IMO two points is two points. It doesn't matter to me if he jams it or makes the layup. The important thing is if he can explode towards the basket and break down D. I think that is what he's saving himself for: to be able to consistently do that in the post season. I think they'll make it to the playoffs and that's where we'll see D Rose at his best. Again IMO seeding isn't THAT important despite what the stats say. With the exception of the extra energy a home game can bring, of which the advantage is exactly one of 'em, to get to the finals you're going to face the best team to become the best team anyway.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic about the guy because admittedly I am a huge fan but I do think he's playing a bit of possum right now. :)

Denver surprised Cleveland tonight. Denver was aggressive and fluid all game long. Brian Shaw is doing a good job. Quite evident he's got a system in running the team.

Bulls beat the Clippers 105 - 89 without Rose and Gasol.

Chicago plays tough, that's for sure. Impressive perfromance.

Is Butler this years Leonard? :)

I was just about to say this is Butler's year and saw you post, Jack.

I love this kid first time I saw him. Tough as nails, great defender and can shoot. What more can you ask? Bulls are lucky to have him.

What is the story with Rose? Can Chicago continue to rely on such a brittle player?
Chicago looked good these past few nights ...
Clippers: even Doc may not be able to save them from the curse of Donald Sterling

Another what's the story?: Chris Paul. Didn't stay up for the game but 12/7 are weak numbers for him when he's quicker than either starting guard on the other team.

Butler looks like he took a thousand jumpers a day and worked on his post game over the summer -- exactly what he needed to do.

I just don't get the Clipps and how they continue to come up short every game. At least when the Lakers lose you know they took a whipping :)

Doc must be thinking now, I shouldn't have left them Celtics. :D And in his nightmare, get a call from Ainge saying he's being traded back to Boston for Brad Stevens, and CP3 for Rondo. :D And worst nightmare, Clips get a worst record this season than when Vinnie del Negro's last winning season. :D Kidding aside (just having fun while my C's continue to lose winnable games), I think Doc will find a way to get the Clips back on track. 5-4 is not that bad early. And as President, Doc will do some trades in the near future.

Hard to believe he won't with that team. Equally hard to fathom what kind of coach would have a team a team pining for the return of VDN. Bill Musselman?

Ummm...I don't want VDN back with the Clippers. :)

5 - 4 is not a total disaster but its not a good omen for a team thought capable of going deep in the playoffs this year, maybe to the Finals.

I hope Phil is right and Doc figures it out.

Short term issue is they they are headed out on a 7 game road trip - not the best place to to get things back together.
