Very nice article. I didn't know the young Luke and his brother played 2 on 2 with Bird and Bill. That's cool. One image I will never forget is the 'victory hug' Walton and Mchale had when the title was clinched and little time remained, Bill was pulled out of the game and McHale was first on the bench waiting to give him a big hug and it lasted a few seconds. That was a very 'high' feeling.

And an added bonus of the resurgence of the C's - Brad Stevens is going to coach the Eastern All Stars as Tyron Lue cannot do consecutive coaching jobs despite the Cavs still being number 1 in the East.

And talking about sports betting, There was 1 bettor who risked $1.1m to win $1m, betting for the Falcons. Ouch. It was an improbable comeback with a 25-deficit by the Pats, but boy, I had to postpone by lunch when I turned on the TV again and saw the score at 28-28 with a minute to go! The rest is history. Am very happy for the city of Boston (parade tomorrow) and all the Pats fans.

I'm surprised as well, Steve. It seems the team (as healthy as it has been with only Bradley injured) is jelling and getting comfortable with reach other but the biggest surprise of all is IT Thomas' hot scoring. Though my fear is come playoff time, a bigger and stronger defender might slow him down, as I hope not. He has been egged on by none other than the G.O.A.T Tom Bradley when he told IT: Now it's your turn. But honestly, had KD heeded Brady's pitch last summer to come to Beantown, their chances would have been better. Ainge needs a big trade come the deadline for the C's to make real contender in the East. I'm waiting, but do NOT give up the Nets lottery pick this summer.

Kevin Love seems to be a gentleman. He needs however to look for himself and his career. He was known as one of the best Power Forward in the league , sometimes, the best in his years in Minnesota where he posted monstrous numbers. In Cleveland he's an afterthought regularly insulted by LBJ and playing in the shadows. He better ask for a trade to a team where he would be,if not, "The Man" but at least one of the main men . A team with a tradition of winning and respect for the greats: Lakers ( I am long suffering fan) would be my preference for him , the Celtics (Noooooooooooo!!!!) or better work with Popovitch to find a way to snatch him and prolong that dynasty in the NBA for the next 75 years ... Frankly I don't know why he is taking this kind of abuse in Cleveland. He deserves better.

I believe Love had that one season left in his contract when he was traded fr Mn to CLE, and he broke a shoulder in a joust with Olynyk and missed the rest of the playoffs, and then in that summer decided to sign a long term deal with Cleveland saying that he wanted so much to win a title as they were so close to getting one, and true to his wish, he won one the following year. So I'm not so sure he wanted to be elsewhere than Cleveland and it would seem to me that he likes to play with James despite playing in his shadows. I wish he was elsewhere too where he can shine like the top player he was in Minnesota. 6 weeks is not a long time and he could be back in the playoffs sooner even. I agree he's such a gentleman, too bad he had to hook up with the traveling king to get his ring.
