New Network Acoustics eno2 system

I just installed the EN-85e in my system and quite honestly I can not tell a difference between this unit and the Stack SmoothLan. Going t listen a bit and look at installing a second 85e in my modem/switch room across the house. May be selling a SmoothLan.
The en-85e definitely separated itself from the other EMO devices for audio use. Glad to see you're hearing the same good results.

Is the en-85e directional?
As Republic of Texas said, the data sheet says it's not.

Further, I have experimented with it in both directions on multiple occasions and have not found it to be directional at all. No sonic change for me; i.e. same improvements in both directions.

I am extremely fussy about ethernet cables, they can enhance or defeat the sound quality I'm after. My concern with the EN-85e is the attached cable of unknown quality. I have two LAN Isolators with captive leads, but they had RJ-45 connectors which I was able to access by cutting the plastic covering away. Replacing the leads with better ethernet cables was a significant improvement.

The EN-1005+ looks more interesting. Not sure how the technology compares.

Thanks. I ordered one just to see what it's all about. It's certainly cheap enough. I wonder how it would fare against the eno2, or even more so a MUON Pro.

I have 5 or 6 of those. They aren't in the same ballpark IME, though they can usually make some perceptible improvement.

Check the pricing on Network Acoustics ethernet cables. I expect they make up a significant cost of their isolators.
Have to ask. What grade ethernet cable is in your walls??

I have nothing in the walls. I have 15 meters of single mode fiber from my network side switch to my audio system.
So why would you need a filter at all?

I use CAT7 with a filter between my modem and router, and CAT8 with a second filter between the router and switch. IOW, I use a filter on each side of the router.
What I thought as I have a similar setup. I am using the e85 from modem and router with great results. I am going to change the connector to Telegartner RJ45

Maybe also interesting to some, did just recently compare the Ethernet performance of an AudioQuest Dragon to a Network Acoustics Muon Pro and ENO2 and both were clearly better in all aspects.

An update. I have removed the iFi LAN iSilencer from the router WAN connection. I am only using the modified Korean filter now, between the router and switch. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks of listening before faults become clear. The iFi was homogenising the sound somewhat (compromised instrument separation.)

How do the ENO2 and Muon Pro compare?

I double-checked the iFi installed at my NUC server RJ45 port to confirm that it enhances instrument separation in my setup. Still much prefer eno2 into the streamer, though.

I don't doubt that. I use LAN iSilencers in two other systems. I think with all the other noise cleaning devices in my main system, the second filter was simply too much.

The iFi product seems to clean up music nicely at a noisy computer connection, as opposed to along the way (through a switch) to an endpoint. I didn’t like it directly into my EtherREGEN or Meraki, but thought it helped at an old Mac acting as NAS (in addition to the NUC).

I had similar results and the iFi product is a fine entry level product to explore Ethernet filters. Also found it is not alway how much you spend, my EMO filters from Germany have replaced much more expensive filters upstream due to their capabilities over more expensive devices.

The ENO2 is about 90% in all aspects of the Muon Pro - so price/performance really amazing.

Ah sorry, I realized I mixed things up. It should have been "AudioQuest Diamond"
