Haven't heard of Pilium until now. Made in Bulgaria. Very interesting.

It's funny, I swear just last night I was telling my wife (who has zero interest in high-end audio) how much high-end was coming out of Eastern Europe. LDMS (Lucas D is from Poland though he now lives in the UK), Lampizator (Poland), FTA (Serbia), Manron (Poland), Laboga Cables (Poland), etc.

...and these are only the relative newcomers. APL, Trafomatic, Rockna, Canor etc. has been around for many years already.

Pilium is manufactured in Greece. It is shipped out of Bulgaria due to some local shipping restrictions. Pilium has been in business for six years.

Oh man, I am so thrilled to be getting on with Mighty Pilium... just placed my order for Alexander pre and Achilles power, with a pair of Alsyvox Boteccelli X. Even more, as the new “Rhapsody Listening Room—Portland” I will also have Diesis Roma in-house by end of summer. Looking forward to hosting auditions of these exquisite brands for fellow audio-geeks in western USA. Planning to have Bayz later in the year. If your summer travels bring you north?

Just let me know if you need a "American Sound Showroom" in Scandinavia David, i think i could make room for a AS 2000 ! ;)

My franchise for a Zu-based system so far only stretches to the chapel here.

Thanks David. It was indeed sudden but sometimes in life it makes sense to take a leap.

(A bit more of a measured leap at this age, not quite as impulsive as my youth.)

Agree with you 100%.

I learn from this stupid pandemic : we have to live in the moment!

First Pilium Theseus with S/N 001 has landed in Singapore.
Excellent! I look forward to hearing your impressions as you get that bad-boy up and running. Please give us some out-of-box sound reports and again after 100hrs, 200hrs, etc. What speakers and other gear make up your rig?

My own Achilles amp is just entering final testing at the factory. I'm still wondering if I am going to need a small engine lift to move the amp onto the amp-stand. I think it weighs in @ 265lbs.

The issue with Achilles is getting it from crate to amp/stand.
Those last 2 feet are the stress test!
Theseus and Iasonas might be the most optimal for the mere mortal…
