AFAIK, there are so far no reviews with the Akasa cable.Interesting what Roy wrote about the Wadax reference server and Akasa cable on ‘page’ 2: “even more impressively groundbreaking” than the reference dac.

Correct. Reviews of the reference server are forthcoming and undoubtedly the Akasa cable will be part of these reviews. No idea though when these reviews will become available.AFAIK, there are so far no reviews with the Akasa cable.

Hi Mike,i agree that pulling the source equation out of a system is tricky. when i try to hear things at a show i find it takes a few shows and different contexts to come up my conclusion. with the MSB it took me 4 shows to tip me over.
hi Steve,Hi Mike,
Which ethernet cable are you using?
Steve Vu
You have a lot of works to do in the next few days. Enjoy your system. Personally, I don't like the fibre interface from the Router/Switch to the music server because I think it has the influence on the sound quality during the conversion. Currently, no company has designed the fibre interface specifically for audio. They only take the advantage of civil and industrial interface. Just my 2 cent opinion.hi Steve,
with my Taiko Extreme server, i use the MSB Pro USB interface between the Extreme server and the MSB Select II. i use a 10 meter run of fibre optic cable from my network switch to the Extreme. and then from that network switch to my NAS i use a 2 meter Sablon ethernet cable.
when the Wadax Ref Server shows up i will try both the fibre into it, plus i have some copper generic Ethernet cable running along side the 10 meter fibre, so i can switch back and forth. not sure my fibre interface is compatible with the Wadax as it's configured.
i was expecting delivery of my Wadax gear tomorrow; but i have a few feet of snow in my yard and my driveway even cleared, is compact snow. not home delivery friendly with 400 pounds of digital. one pallet is at the depot, and the other is suppose to arrive tomorrow. if i want it i will have to go get it with my own vehicle. so that is the plan. will have to recruit helpers to unload.
‘Emotion” might be the one thing we will never be able to explain. A listening session may lead to a tearful experience for one and total indifference for someone else.Well maybe my musical tastes do not coincide with the majority.
HIFILIVE SHOW Valencia 2019
Un gran espectáculo El fin de semana de los días 25, 26 y 27 de octubre en Valencia tuvo lugar la primera edición del “HIFILIVE SHOW”. Era la primera gran exposición de sonido de alto nivelhifilivemagazine.com
Extraordinary systems were presented at the Hifi Live Show and the room that I liked the most would surely not be voted by 1% of the attendees. Wilson Benesch + Yba Signature. Naturally there were rooms with a much more spectacular sound, but it was in that room that I felt there was emotion.
Damned, that Wadax girl is a real tease !the ultimate tease = picking up (due to snow) the ref dac plus power supplies......but.....drum roll please......no power cord umbilicals. ugh. no party time for mikey. you are expecting a reward after all the heavy lifting.
i think it's a beautiful piece of gear sitting in my room.
rumor is that the power umbilicals are "somewhere" with the server and the optical cord......."to be continued".

Bummer on the cables - hope they show up. Any photos of the new beast in situ?
........continued...Mike, at least show us a pic of it all lonesome waiting to hook up
Look forward to it, Mike. Will the umbilicals be in this server crate? You might then have sound by end of day........continued...
was spent last night after moving the NVS (out of room) and the Extreme server (near where the Wadax dac will be), and then wrestling the Wadax crates out of my car, unpacking them and lifting the Wadax Ref Dac up onto the Tana shelf where the NVS had been. for my 70 year old body that was my limit (my son had mercy and helped me).
considered pictures but the room looks like a tornado hit it so i did not.
my shipping agent did inform me that the server is available to pick up locally later, so this afternoon will collect that. possible pics late tonight.
they should be in the box with the Akasa optical cable. and Elliot (who will be here) is bringing a back up pair of umbilical's, as a back up plan, just in case. called him last night and we agreed that made sense.Look forward to it, Mike. yes; he is my hero. had to do a late night run back to his shop to get those, then he's on an early flight. That is good customer service from Elliot then. Look forward to photos and reports then

Grab a Ridgeline off the lot and make your life easier...
This is going to be epic!!
