Rhapsody.Audio- Listening Rooms (RLRs)

Rhapsody.Audio would like to announce that within the next 3-4 months there will be multiple new locations where several of the product lines that Rhapsody.Audio represents will be available to audition via Rhapsody.Audio Listening Rooms (RLRs).

Initially, the RLR’s will have the products available for demonstration mentioned below. Upon opening, the DFW RLR will have a very similar product offering as that available at Rhapsody.Audio in Manhattan.

Bob was gracious enough to get my Tidal playlist loaded and share some of his great gear. The A5s with an integrated VAC amp and Aurender front end were nice. The Alysvox Botticelli X fed by a VAC preamp and VAC monoblocks with Taiko upstream were very (very!) impressive. Thanks Bob!

Thank you for visiting Bruce. I enjoyed your visit and all of your good selections of music which now I possess. Have a great weekend and enjoy the rest of your time in New York City.

This is another system owned by the same owner. Does this fit more with your guidelines?

I’m not sure how you read anything negative into my post. I don’t have any guidelines for anyone but myself and wasn’t passing judgement, simply expressing surprise that compared to the rest of the system he didn’t aim a little higher on the speakers. As something about my post clearly annoyed you I’ve removed it from your thread. No offense intended.

My customer and I love the custom $25K Celestas that are in this room. Your being surprised that we did not pick something more expensive is for you to ponder, we are very happy with this speaker selection for this application.

I personally LOVE the sound and aesthetics of this system in this very small room, especially after we installed the G1000 preamp to front the Ongaku.

This particular customer has no financial constraints regarding audio equipment. He purchases what he enjoys sonically and aesthetically and more importantly how the entire system and especially the speakers interface with a particular room.

They also scream "reflections"! Franck Tchang would no doubt advise Rhapsody to put some ASI Sugar Cubes and Resonators on them.
I lived in a loft space similar to Bob's room, it's actually not bad specially brick walls depending on how thick they are can be great.

There are two Platinum, four gold and two silver resonators from Franck in the room. Along with several sugar cubes. I think I have 30 resonators through my four rooms. The ceiling in this room is made from wooden beams which offer a lot of diffraction. The left side wall is heavily abortive behind the diffraction copper material.

The back of the room is open to a lot of absorption and nooks and crannies as well.

The room sounds AMAZING regarding acoustics to myself and many visitors.

Well - there you have it. Not bare brick and stone after all. Couldn't see the ASI devices in the photo.

Very nice space Bob, the stone and brick walls scream MAN CAVE!!!!! Love it!

Hi David, it's interesting that the room has been sitting there since 1874 and it's the first time it has had music played in it. The brick/stone walls are about 18" thick as they support the 10K' house sitting on top of it:)

You must have fantastic bass in the room!

Actually it is very clear bass with texture, but the Diesis don't go down all that deep, (around 30Hz) so ??? I don't use the subs unless someone asks me to turn them on.
