Rhapsody.Audio- Listening Rooms (RLRs)

Rhapsody.Audio would like to announce that within the next 3-4 months there will be multiple new locations where several of the product lines that Rhapsody.Audio represents will be available to audition via Rhapsody.Audio Listening Rooms (RLRs).

Initially, the RLR’s will have the products available for demonstration mentioned below. Upon opening, the DFW RLR will have a very similar product offering as that available at Rhapsody.Audio in Manhattan.

Over time, all locations will be expanding their portfolio to a comparable scale as that of NYC/DFW.

The RLRs will be available to host auditions by appointment. All product ordering and delivery logistics will be processed and supported from the Rhapsody.Audio NYC location.

Product assistance and installation will be supported by Rhapsody.Audio NYC along with the RLRs depending on customer location.

Nice pair of Heretic 612s found a home in California, and customer reports he’s “loving them!”

Great looking setup for a really fun speaker. His stands look cool too.

Daniele Cohen/Alsyvox visiting Rick Brown from HI FI ONE, in Carlsbad, CA. Rick just received his Alsyvox Caravaggio XX and Daniele visited to give a listen and do a little "tuning" with the C XX.

Edit- Rick is driving the Alsyvox Caravaggio XX with his Berning/HI FI ONE Reference 20 WATT amplifiers. More about the Reference amplifiers here:

I speak on behalf of all Rhapsody locations, that we are very proud to that the Alsyvox Caravaggio XX was just named "Overall Product Of The Year" in the latest issue of he Absolute Sound! If you're in California, come by for a listen later this week coupled to the new Taiko Olympus!

Robert Harley states "Full-range ribbon speakers are supposed to be fiendishly difficult to drive because of their ultra-low impedance, limited in bass exten sion, light on dynamics, and require a massive power amplifier to overcome their low sensitivity. Yet in a single stroke, AlsyVox founder Daniele Coen has not only conquered these limitations, but he has also created the most realistic-sounding loudspeaker Robert Harley has heard in more than 35 years of full-time reviewing. Let's start with the astonishing specs: 94dB sensitivity, 22Hz bass extension, 4-ohms impedance-unheard of for a full-range ribbon. The 7'-tall four-way dipole panel with an outboard crossover features all custom ribbon drivers, designed and built by AlsyVox in Spain. The high sensitivity is realized with a massive array of nearly 2000 powerful rare-earth magnets. But these numbers don't begin to convey the startling timbral, dynamic, and spatial realism these loudspeakers deliver. The qualities that make it so spectacular are man ifold: uncannily realistic rendering of timbre, image tangibility, an expansive and detailed spatial presentation, an ability to portray the physicality of instruments, transparency, resolution, and transient speed. The speakers simply cease to exist as a sound source, instead disappearing into a massive soundstage populated by utterly realistic-sounding instrumental images. The sense of continuousness the impression that music is an organic whole rather than an assemblage of parts-is extraordinary and goes a long way in fostering the ineffable feeling of being in the presence of live, contemporaneous music-making. The Caravaggio also transcends the traditional limitations of ribbon speakers; it is remarkably easy to drive, will play loudly, and delivers fabulous bass weight and low-end dynamic authority. Indeed, it played at fully satisfying playback levels when driven by the 20W Berning/Hi-Fi One Reference SET amplifier, a synergistic pairing that brought out the best qualities of both products. This big ribbon is utterly coherent and continuous in every way, sounding so uncannily like live music that it makes you instantly forget about specific sonic criteria. For them to work their magic, however, you need to position these big dipoles far out into the room with plenty of space behind them. The AlsyVox Caravaggio XX loudspeaker is a sui generis creation on which we enthusiastically bestow The Absolute Sound's highest honor, the Overall Product of the Year Award."
