Why the arrogance? It's not art. She's a live goddess who inhabits the listening room and propagates good and happy vibes which infuse the music.

It’s funny how this has come full circle. Much of audio by many accounts is voodoo. Ron has single handedly (with his sarcasm) making a case and closed that gap in many ways.
….in his own world, even.
I know, Peter. I am having fun in the same way!
BUT, he was having fun at my expense which I didn’t appreciate, AND he is kinda insulting the community by either not acknowledging that his art influences the sound (at least in theory), or won’t say that he doesn’t hear a difference on way oe the other.
Finally, he can also just say that it’s not important to him all together, which is fine too.
really?I agree. Ron being a member of the industry is my comment to the full circle.
to be fair to Ron, he never made a case of serious connection between his 'relic' and hifi performance. only good fortune and feelings in a friendly way. he was just having fun. so now trying to make it something it is clearly not holds no water.Tweaks and accessories are fully supported and endorsed and promoted by the industry. It reminds me of the thread topic: “everything makes a difference”.
Your full circle comment was very insightful.
If you blindfold Francisco he only has his sense of smell left !really?

we ought not to take ourselves too seriously. or look for connect-the-dots conspiracy where obviously none exists.
a 'tweak' tangent is always game if you like, but don't look for this as a justification.
can we hear the effect of a 2 foot tall statue sitting on the floor between the speakers? go ahead and go down THAT road. Francisco can supply us with blindfolds and we can get all scientific about it. just kidding, in case it was not clear.
Maybe…I’ll take Ron’s silence on this small chapter of his system thread as an indication of him not wanting to open Pandora’s box as it would be too much for his Saraswati to compete with.
Are you suggesting a double-blind A/B with non-cylindrical extinguishers? Sounds intriguing...It is always convienent to have some magic infused into things - whether it be Gods, “everything matters”, or cylindrical fore extinguishers.
Probably.Are you suggesting a double-blind A/B with non-cylindrical extinguishers? Sounds intriguing...
I am not sure how one can beat having an actual god in the room. It's not art. She's a live goddess who inhabits the listening room and propagates good and happy vibes which infuse the music.
Blind tests aside, (and since when are you a proponent for blind tests) you’re really questioning whether or not an astute listener can hear the effect of a 2 ft. tall object on floor between speakers in a purpose built room where countless hours of adding/omitting various devices to augment sound and having (many) alleged golden ears evaluate?really?

not at all. i'm saying it's a worthy subject to discuss. but i very much doubt Ron ever intended for his piece to have a performance effect one way or the other.Blind tests aside, (and since when are you a proponent for blind tests) you’re really questioning whether or not an astute listener can hear the effect of a 2 ft. tall object on floor between speakers in a purpose built room where countless hours of adding/omitting various devices to augment sound and having (many) alleged golden ears evaluate?
don't see that.Much of what you say in your post destroys 20 years of progress that’s been made in the hobby.
