You play this track through the speakers and note the frequencies that sound louder than the others. The room acoustics have to be massively changed there(helmholz&absorber). For all other values above 150 Hz, furniture and curtains (windows) will help sufficiently. The room then looks more comfortable, as if people were living in it.take two wood blocks and smack them together and you´ll get a hint of the rooms acoustics
It's a dangerous game putting live musicians, especially good singers, next to a stereo system. I have a healthy diet of live unamplified singing in good acoustics and it reinforces my views on the limitations of stereo systems. If I were a rich man I'd have a room/system dedicated to vocal music, probably a valve amplifier and horn speakers and all analogue sources. But I'm not.Nice room. As a gigging musician it's great to see someone performing live.

The man has good taste in equipment !A friend from Santa Monica visited me for the first time this afternoon. His system is MBL 101E Mk. II, Clearaudio Master Innovation/Benz Micro LP S, Aesthetix electronics. We had a nice listening session:
Symphonie Fantastique (Reference Recordings)
Witches Brew (Classic Records)
Ray Brown / Almeida – Moonlight Serenade
Tchaikovsky 1812
Musica Nuda "Eleanor Rigby"
Jim Croce (DCC Compact Classics)
Nojima Plays Liszt (Reference Recordings)
Louis Armstrong "Saint James Infirmary"
Eva Cassidy "Fields of Gold"
$100K DAC vs$100K turntable
Who wins?
Oops I meant to post it in the vinyl vs analog threadthat would depend on the rest of the system and more importantly, the set up skills.

but thanks for the reply .
Another choice for pure silver in Teflon/air dielectric is Darwin Cables.99.99% pure silver in loose teflon tubing (teflon/air dialectic)... from $202.31 per meter for 16 gauge stereo pairs to $493.31 per meter for 10 gauge stereo pairs. All solid core single wires. I'm a believer. https://www.tempoelectric.com/cables_speaker-cables.htm
I would require exposure to Karen's body of work. Evas' range is phenomenal. She travels across pop, rock, R&B, blues and orchestral music with ease. it's not to worry. We can enjoy both.I am listening to The Carpenters The Singles on tape. We Eva Cassidy devotees should not forget about Karen Carpenter. I actually think Karen has a more impressive voice than Eva.
The first selection of Fields of Gold has slightly more bite in the upper register.
Only 9 songs in the session? You don’t like the guy very much…A friend from Santa Monica visited me for the first time this afternoon. His system is MBL 101E Mk. II, Clearaudio Master Innovation/Benz Micro LP S, Aesthetix electronics. We had a nice listening session:

Early Reference Recordings are all analog.Ron ,
The reference recordings were Digital , so just to confirm were the others all on LP’s?
Ok so all were on LP’s , Thanks ...!Early Reference Recordings are all analog.
100% analog, except I assume the Eva Cassidy club recording was a digital recording, unfortunately.
