Your country is nothing. Now we got Trump who wants to deport 11 million illegal immigrants. Good luck with that. If you think that's either possible or desirable then something is really wrong with you.
I'm quite thankful that our country's electoral process doesn't measure up to the circus you guys are having to deal with. It's great entertainment though!

Scary is what it is. That so many people believe in the nut cases running for president. I really liked the response your PM gave when asked about the diversity on his staff and he replied that it is the 21st century.

That response "Because it's 2015" has been compared to his fathers infamous "Just watch me" comment during the days of the FLQ crisis. It was also off the cuff and totally impromptu. The difference is that now they're selling t-shirts. LOL!

By the way, I am not sure Trump is a joke. He's obviously a very intelligent man who knows precisely how to play to his base, and he does so brilliantly.

I'll beg to differ. He's obviously brilliant at catering to his base, but that doesn't qualify him as being intelligent. That's just marketing savvy. He caters to the uneducated (and I don't mean schooling) and promotes fear as a guiding beacon to blame others for what's wrong with the country.

You cannot be marketing savvy without being intelligent. You can also not build a real estate empire in Manhattan the way he did without being very intelligent. I know, there are those who say he inherited the business from his father, but that is a lazy argument and just not accurate.

Not true. The Kardashians are great marketers of their name...are they intelligent? Marketing is but one component and business savvy is another one. Having both doesn't mean they have the intelligence to run a country.

You have to understand the awkward dance that the Republican primary campaign has become. The "base" - those people who will show up for the primary election - has huge numbers of radical right-wingers and Christian conservatives. So GOP presidential hopefuls have run to the right, as far as their pride and dignity will allow them, to have a chance in the primaries. Then, if they win, they have to run hard and fast back to the center for the general election, hoping people will forget what they said a few weeks earlier. It's killing the party's ability to win national elections. Trump may become the nominee...it still seems unlikely, but it could happen...but all that will do is hand the presidency to the Democrats. This GOP would have a very hard time giving the nomination to their hero, Ronald Reagan, today. He'd look like Jeb Bush in this context.

I never watch the news, no cable/satellite TV, and I don't check the news on the internet, but roughly one hour ago, searching for Trump, in reply to Tim's post just above, from my third link, I decided to google Paris. And to my horror I just learned then of what has transpired tonight in Paris. It is extremely sad for all the young lives lost and to all their families and to all Parisians, on this Friday, November 13, 2015. ...Now Saturday morning in Paris.
If I wouldn't have replied to Tim's post regarding Donald Trump, I wouldn't have known about this horrific tragedy, terror attack on Paris.
Now I am checking the news, since around 9:00 o'clock PM Pacific Time (still Friday 13 here, but Saturday morning in New York and in Paris).
I am totally devastated...
My prayers and deepest thoughts goes to all affected.
The third link is disturbing (Ann Coulter always is). The tragedy of terrorism has little to do with Muslim immigration. What about the almost 3 million Muslims living in the US peacefully? Fearmongering for the irrational. The events in Paris were horrible, but this is not the answer.
It's like accusing all Christians of being terrorists because of some lunatic who kills abortion doctors, or like accusing all atheists of being immoral because of some horrible deeds of a deranged atheist.
Can we just stop this crap? We are all human beings.

At times I can't understand Ann Coulter having the pull she has... America was funded by immigrants... It remains a rich mosaic..
People like her, The Donald and radicals make you wonder and shudder.. Radicals here , radical there ... The results are the same... and previsible
