Thank you for that explanation.I find a dedicated digital network for your stereo is more important than a dedicated AC line. Significantly more so in fact. The exact same technology plus significant additional technology was applied to the router, as was applied to your Switch. The Switch was our first foray into modifying a Switch with our technology. Then came the router, which is a significant upgrade over any router you can buy, easily verified through an in-home audition, and then we applied all that technology and more to the voodoo streamer server. Now we’re going full circle back to the Switch, so it has all the innovation of both the router and the voodoo.

By experimentation, I found that the TV/set-top box/ISP-provided modem, which are all powered by a balanced power unit that is fed from a shared AC line, injects noise into the dedicated line (since it all meets at the breaker panel?). So, the dedicated line is necessary but not immune from noise.
I assumed that the variation of SQ between morning and night was due to the power delivered to the home at those times. But the UEF switch has reduced those morning/night differences greatly (yesterday it seemed to eliminate the difference entirely; the switch might still be settling in so more time is needed to confirm this). I hadn't expected that and it is one of the benefits that I now enjoy every day.
Looking forward to trying an UEF router at home in the near future.
