Monday I installed a Torus WM 100 BAL Isolation Transformer. Got everything wired, sounding great right out of the "box". The electrician just stood there with his mouth open, stayed for several tracks. All week I'm thrilled with what I am hearing with Roon. What ever day it was in which I was prompted to do the UPDATE, to 1353, I noticed the dynamics was dull, no air, just not right. Yesterday I'm listening all day and the dynamics just didn't sound right. So I attribute it to the Torus Unit Breaking in. Never thinking it was ROON! Just a little while ago it dawned on me to switch to XDMS. Boom!! Everything back, instantly! I have never had Roon sound this dull...
Its operable, but it sounds like complete shit. I take it there is now way to roll the version back to 1311?
Given that you changed 2 things in your system you can’t be sure what the effect of each was. How did the sound of XDMS compare before and after the transformer install?
You should be able to install the old build of Roon but I would contact tech support for instructions.
This is clearly a result of updating to 1353. Roon sounded great until the update. XDMS is sounding fantastic, if it was the Torus Break in the dynamics I would think would be compromised in both Roon/XDMS. Before the update flip a coin between Roon/XDMS. I contacted support to see if we can roll back...

Yes I have same lenghts of the same Ethernet cable 1m, 3 m , 5 m, 8m, 15m , 20 m each is different.
I am not trying to say whats best. All I want to know is what Emile has.
He tuned his system to that.
My plan is to try to hear how that is far from my „optimum„ form testing.
Just a quick note as I have other things to attend to. I’ve been on 1353 core for a while, maybe a week? 1352 on the iPad remote. I’m not complaining about the SQ, but there is an issue with XDMS. Nothing plays when toggled to Roon. Both Roon and XDMS can play when toggled to XDMS, at the same time!

the only way to fix it was to delete Roon and install it again. I did it myself but got instructions from Ed. Thank you Ed !
NO! When you toggle between the 2, when you go back to Roon NO AUDIO DEVICE FOUND and it flashes back and forth, it find it for a split second, then it can't...
Same here . I was 99% of the time on Roon as it was better than XDMD.
From yesterday I am 99 % of the time on XDMS.
Shit is very accurate.
Actually There are 2 applications now both uptodate .
Roon that is 1353 and Roon Server that is 1311.

Then how did you hear Roon? I guess you listened initially and then switched back to XDMS and now can't switch back?

you have 2 roon servers aplications running. I had the same symptoms.
solution for short time:
stop one of the roon server in the manager
