Original, Cast Iron and Dr. Strangeglove. We tried the latter first. More to come. What do you recommend?

Strangelove we prefer the decaf, not the caffeinated. Great taste on decaf. In caffeinated They have a Brazilian (Red ruby), Rwanda (Rushashi PB), Ethiopia (Konga), Mexican (Terruno Nayarita), all are good and slightly different. Try the smaller packs and find your taste.

Their limited edition at the start of the list, which is from Columbia is I think the best.

In parentheses I have put the name of the coffee, next to the origin.

Arrived...tried the Jura A1 with the Extract Coffee...purely for coffee (no bells/whistles for milk)...excellent quality coffee. One of the few times we could drink coffee 'neat' and really enjoy it. Thanks for introducing us to Jura! And to the world of fresh coffee beans...the fact that the 'extra cost' for the machine pays for itself in less than one year (even factoring in these boutique/artisanal coffees) in comparison to a Nespresso is also great.

Does your Jura only use pods or fo you also grind beans

ive had 4 or 5 Juras over the past 20 years. I love them

Hi Steve, the A1 does not use any pods. It uses the same Aroma G3 grinder and the new Pulse Extraction (P.E.P.) that most of the latest generation Juras have. All new for us after years with Nespresso...no more pods, just whole roasted beans...from bean to cup at the touch of a button! Thanks...your posts in particular were really what got us started after the Nespresso started to break about 2 weeks ago.

So far, we agree! It makes excellent coffee...very impressed and was not quite sure what to expect. Very happy. Meanwhile, on 28 coffees...wow!...1 for just about every day of the month!

Totally agree. My last several Juras had Burr grinders the Giga6 has 2 ceramic grinders. Big difference

Right there in the mix is suspended content in water used and water temperature. Which comprises the majority portion of any drink and creates the chemical reaction.

Shocking as it may be. It isn't unheard of for people with access to a high grade commercial grinder to bag up a week's worth of beans because the quality of grind outweighs the small freshness penalty.

Buy by the KG and the value is excellent. But to start just try a few unblended ones at 250g to get an idea. I am rarely disappointed if ever really.

Like Extract, there is a house taste and I am sure its just down to the roasting techniques and roasters themselves.

Extract do a great job on their marketing and coffee roaster hype but I really do think Wogan is better and others have agreed.

Thanks and having just finished drinking 1kg of coffee beans from Extract in less than a week!...we have just ordered 6 x 250g of different coffee from Wogans.
