The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Trailer – “The Mockingjay Lives”

I saw this yesterday with my Family. It is the final episode of The Hunger Games Trilogy but unfortunately this final episode has been broken into two separate films so as always we will have to wait until this time next year to see its conclusion. Having said that I found this film very dark in comparison to the other two which shows the games themselves and the feud with President Snow and Panem.This episode reveals to us that there is a District 13 where we meet President Alma Coin played by Julianne Moore.

The plot is simple........

When Katniss destroys the games, she goes to District 13 after District 12 is destroyed. She meets President Coin who convinces her to be the symbol of rebellion, while trying to save Peeta from the Capitol.

A fun film to watch but not sure I enjoyed Jennifer Lawrence in black hair in the film. Nonetheless if you have young kids or grandkids it is a fun 2 hour film

I'm a big fan of this series - as is my bride. I will have to wait until it comes to Bluray to see it as I refuse to go to any of the theaters near where we now live to watch any movie of this type. We will probably re-watch the first two to preapre for this one. Looking forward to it.

not much action in this one. glad I saw it for half price in the morning---Snow is the best part. I really could live without the Katnis longing for Peeta for two hours when he goes on camera...guess its a teen movie though.

Steve- don't you think that letting Peeta go at the end just led the Capital right to the District 13 hideout location?

They already know where exactly it is remember? They bombed it. They even dropped the white roses.

My problem with the actor that plays Peeta is that everytime he's on camera, I keep thinking of Jumanji and expect monkeys, rhinos, and aliens to show up out of nowhere.

but I thought the reason District 13 stopped retaliating with missiles was because Julianne Moore figured out they were aimlessly bombing.

She didn't want to give away the locations of the remaining AA batteries. They lost a lot at the start of the raid.

Doesn't make sense from a military strategic point of view but cinematically it set up the pussycat scene LOL!
