im just going to nicely say that “let’s agree to disagree”

Theres nothing of any truth to what you said

Well I can't nicely say anything to that. Everything I said is easily looked up and isn't from any anti-vaxxer websites. So bullshit to you saying bullshit to me.

I would suggest we not get into the general vaccine discussion. If people need to discuss it start another thread.

Yes Steve, we don’t want Ron to
close down this thread !;)

It would be helpful if the US CV-19 team would show the projected numbers which are consistent with the 100k death projection. Maybe I am being optimistic but I don’t see how we could get there given the current mitigation efforts.

If you watched the briefings you’d see this.

I am and they don’t. They just have graphs of actuals. The x-axis extends to 3/30.

I remember standing in line for my polio vaccine. I also remember my paraplegic cousin who had polio.

We are seeing climbing cases in many areas, and the people with severe symptoms don't pass away quickly.

You know that a vaccine isn't a brick wall to the virus, right? Plus no one in this thread is arguing against the polio vaccine.

We must be watching different briefings. Today is 3/31 BTW.

The day isn't over so they don't have the numbers for the entire day yet. The only complete actuals are through 3/30 which is yesterday.
Plus, I assume they put this together in the morning.

Did you see a chart in the press conference which showed cases and deaths through July or so?

Yes they showed two different charts from two different modelers which extended to August.

Those projections show much lower ultimate deaths than the 100k-200k that they quoted.

Yes, that is the low estimate with the IMHE model. The other model is 100-220k which was put together by modelers at Harvard, Columbia, and 2-3 more universities. This is all explained and shown on the press conference now.
