If you have been on the fence, thinking of a Torus isolation transformer, you need to order one before the Tarriff with Canada goes into affect. Torus is already aggressively priced. Prices are bumping up, whatever the Tarriff rate it. Supposedly 25%. Call me if you want one.

The Eqitech I bought years ago now has an Electronetics transformer inside. The output balance is very good even at no load, the difference is couple hundred millivolts. Electronetics are US based, perhaps enquire with them and avoid the tariff as an alternative. https://www.electronetics.us/
You can not use an Equitech wall mount unit in the USA, legally. You have to have AFCI protection. There is no company making an AFCI device that is designed for 60 volts on the hot and 60 volts on the neutral. Hence I went with Torus and I would not look back. Torus is far better in the sense they have auto voltage regulation. It will keep the output at 120 volts if the line load drops to 90 volts or overvolts to 130 volts. If it goes outside those parameters, the unit will turn off the output until you tell it to turn back on.
At this time, there are no Tariff that impact Torus.
