Wadax Studio Player Review

...than Tidal Connect or Roon/Qobuz?
tidal connect . Studio Player is waiting for Roon which should be soon. However for those who don't have Roon, don't use files this is a great tool to listen to music

Isn’t your Wadax already set up for Roon? I will be curious how the Qobuz Connect compares.

Better in user interface or better in sound quality?
Tidal interface IMO is not very good. The sound quality is better all day and twice on Sunday

Super impressed with Qobuz Connect on Studio Player. Seems like a decent uplift in SQ and it’s really nice to get back to the Qobuz interface.
Uplift in sq over what? Tidal connect or Roon?

Studio player is not Roon enabled yet .
Qobuz connect is much superior to Tidal connect on SQ and interface

Is Qobuz Connect operating on the Wadax Reference? I’m just curious to hear about a direct comparison of Roon and Connect.

No it does not work with the Wadax Server.

I have Atlantis Dac and Server (No Reference models).
I haven't experience in both Studio and Reference.

What's everyone's experience on the break-in process for the Studio Player?
it sounds very good almost immediately but it needs a good 24-48 hours to be "mostly " there.

There was a software update yesterday #60. I am not sure what it was for or supposed to accomplish since everyone is in Munich but I can tell you that it made me happy. The few of us that have them, and I know, all think its even better. Bravo

Wadax – A4.2 E207

The Wadax quest for digital world domination continues apace. Dropping the Studio Player onto the market wasn’t so much a case of dropping a pebble and watching the ripples spread, as heaving a boulder into the middle of an otherwise placid pond. The Studio is everywhere – and on everyone’s lips – and Munich is no exception. Wadax will be represented in no fewer than nine rooms at the show, plus featuring in the Göbel factory listening rooms where the company will be entertaining invited guests on Thursday evening.

Big news (although it isn’t exactly a secret) will be the arrival of the external power supply unit and clock to start the Studio Line expansion programme. The three-box Studio rig will be seen in the Wadax and Magico (A4.1, F115) rooms at the show, with the standalone Studio Player featuring in many others. How much better (and how much more disruptive) can the Wadax Studio Player get? Only time will tell, but that story starts here.
