Was thinking of dredging up a Timofei Dokschitzer album, but came across this instead.

Not mentioned virtuoso are Maurice André, Sergei Nakariakov, and Theo Mertens.

Brahms: Szeryng with Monteux, LSO on RCA or with Dorati, LSO on Mercury.
Beethoven: Grumiaux with Davis on Philips or Pentatone.
