After months of waiting with bated breath, this set is out today and it’s quality more than justifies the wait. Great sound, great performances, great music.

Very nice! Big fan of Haydn...Bach, Haydn and Handel. I have full complete sets of Haydn's symphonies from:
- Adam Fischer
- Dorati
- Decca set
-Max Goberman
- Paris Symphonies from OAE and Kuijken, London Symphonies Frans Bruggen, Furtwangler

...and most recently have found i like the new series Il Giardino Armonico which is under the label Haydn2032, where I think they are aiming to complete his symphonic works by then!

Music speaks for itself... Magnifique

Hardboard gatefold sleeve ...like a piece of plywood.

Cover art gets it done...yet it makes me wonder just what a Warhol or let's say a Lichtenstein would have done with this ...

A wonderful performance and recording--and what a concert that must have been! The mics were quite close, so they pick up a lot of details including Bernstein stomping on the podium. On paper, Bernstein and Arrau might seem like the "odd couple," but in reality their partnership worked out very nicely.
