What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

Actually, not much needs to be said about the Thorens TD 124.
The reasonableness of a relaunch can also be discussed. The new Thorens TD 124 DD shows a, in my opinion, very successful example of a modern revival. An AS community member has fulfilled his dream and placed this modern Thorens TD 124 DD with AS Phonolab next to the Garrard 401. His profession as a writer brings it with him to go on an exciting journey through time with vinyl as well.

Not everyone can say that they own a moated castle. One community member is in the fortunate situation of having his music room in a moated castle.

At the weekends, he can withdraw from everyday business and listen to his jazz records under the protection of the historic walls. Very important for an owner of a consulting agency to clear his head.

On the left a Scheu turntable in black/chrome with Sorane tonearm. A combination that fits perfectly.

On the right is the AS Phonolab with RECOMPIZER from Audiospecials.de. Also Made in Germany. On the right, with a silver front, an AIRTIGHT Masterpiece amplifier amplifies the vinyl messages to the speakers.

I thought I would post my just so this site would have some trailer trash components instead of all of those $10,000 plus turntables, my Rotel RP1000 cost $20 then later added a $75 Empire 400tc cart that an old stereo store had a NOS collecting dust so he gave me a deal, that really improved the sound and opened up the soundstage from the old ADC cart; then a bit later after that I upgraded the mat to a Hudson HiFi yellow acrylic mat which made a big sound improvement as well from the rubber mat, I had also had a cork mat but it didn't sound near as good as the acrylic mat and only a tad better than the rubber one; I then added isolation feet. The below one is not mine, but it's exactly like what mine looked like when I bought it; I remove the dust lid when I play my records so that the lid doesn't amplify vibration into the turntable. My next project for it this summer is to dampen vibration more by making a: DIY turntable isolation base with Ikea Aptitlig, that is on YouTube and he shows step by step how to make it.

Ok, now you guys can stop laughing and go back to showing your uber expensive turntables!
