Pretty. Is that brush for the dust or painting?

Very nice.
Although I have never had the pleasure of hearing the Gavia, I've heard nothing but wonderful things about it and I think the world of Thom. He is definitely a "class act" in the audio community and we are blessed to have himGalibier Gavia table with Triplanar VII and Analog Instruments Siggwan arms.

Whats the arm wiring ?
Does the 3012R outperform the simplicity II?
In my system, other arms can sound better with Atlas.No. Not from what I have heard so far. Both are on the same table now, so in the future I can compare the same cart.
Cheers

The tonearm cable is Audio Tekne and the wire wrapped around the arm tube is for the Dava field coil power supply.Whats the arm wiring ?
Did you try with the Lyra?

The SAT didn't work well on the AS when I heard it with GFS (sounded wrong) and iirc tang preferred it on SAT on techdas. It sounded great on Gian's SAEC so Tang later bought that arm and think it sounded good on it. Jcarr used it with fr64 till he moved to SATSAT and AS Tang?
I have a suspicion J Carr never designed his Lyra's to go onto the somewhat flimsy SME headshell , let alone the 3012-R
